Sitting on the cold beach,
As the sun rises,
The darkness falls,
My day began,
While someone’s ended.
The warm colors bring clarity,
The darkness underneath,
Weighs heavy on my heart.
If the darkness were to take me today,
Would I be happy with the light that shone through?
Would the good over power the bad,
Or a rise to every fall.
Will the sun always come back,
As well as the darkness.
Imagine if the sunrise were an eraser,
Removing all the mistakes of your broken past,
The light would come back,
Emerging into something beautiful.
But,
Nothing last forever.
Along comes sunsets, the darkness, rain,
We have to allow these to come in,
To truly embrace the beauty of the good.
To every sunset,
There is a sunrise.
As the sun rises,
The darkness falls,
My day began,
While someone’s ended.
The warm colors bring clarity,
The darkness underneath,
Weighs heavy on my heart.
If the darkness were to take me today,
Would I be happy with the light that shone through?
Would the good over power the bad,
Or a rise to every fall.
Will the sun always come back,
As well as the darkness.
Imagine if the sunrise were an eraser,

To truly embrace the beauty of the good.
