The Nominations are now in, and the following are the Final Categories. To vote, all you need to is PM me your choices (1 per category, obviously). You don't have to vote for every category. Do not post your votes in this thread or they won't be counted. I'm a little disappointed that Leonardo DiCaprio didn't get nominated for Best Actor and David Fincher didn't get nominated for Best Director.

One award that I'll be really disappointed that doesn't win (for the real Oscars) is the score to The Curious Case of Benjamin Button by Alexandre Desplat. It's one of the best scores I've ever heard. Although, Thomas Newman is long overdue for an Oscar, and the score to Wall-E fits the movie perfectly.

Why do some categories have more than five choices?

Why do some categories have more than five choices?
A couple categories had a few movies tied, so I didn't really have a good way of eliminating them.

How the fuck did David Fincher not get nominated?

Ya'll are crazy. Otherewise, this is awesome.

I actually can't believe David Fincher was getting nominated at the oscars and the like. I thought there was nothing outstanding about the direction in benjamin button, especially compared to his previous work (se7en, fight club, zodiac) - and especially compared to other films of this year.

I wish we could have got more attention on this sooner. Maybe next year we could get this on the news page early in the process to get more people involved. I was gonna post a thread in the General Forum but thought about just restricting it to here.

Yeah, I thought David Fincher and Sam Mendes both deserved to be in there.
