I'd be lying if i didn't say i started this thread to find working copies of the songs Mock-Up and Dirt.

But hey, I searched the forums and didn't come up with any heatmiser threads. So while we're here, let's appreciate the awesomeness of this indie/punk outfit that showcased what elliott smith could do with a full band backing him. All three of their albums are great, and I have to say that I'm more into this band than smith's solo career.

I still prefer Elliott as a solo artist, but Heatmiser is still really good. Mic City Sons is my favourite.

I agree, I prefer Heatmiser to elliot smith's solo work. I just bought Dead Air and I fell in love with Elliott's vioce but his solo music is SO different. Either way, Heatmiser is one of my favorite bands. :)
