John Feldman's new production project, Bottom Line (http://www.bottomlinepunk.com/) are sounding like another hit for the producer.

i'll mail him 10 bucks if he uses a different snare drum
do major labels really think they can continue to get away with selling records that sound like this?

I'm listening to it now...Feldman uses a shit ton of compression.

Says bassist Greg Yock, “If you aren’t on the edge of your seat by the first chorus, you aren’t listening to Bottom Line. Music is beautiful and exhilarating to us and that’s what we want to help everyone else feel.”
uhhhhhhh, okay. You, Sufjian Stevens, and Sigur Ros.

Take out the awful production, and you've got a pretty decent song. They sound like Over It.

I like Bottom Line. I bought Eloquence and don't regret it at all. It's not the best album in the world, but it's pretty good. I end up liking the bands Feldman produces...so I'll more than likely like this.

i agree with the story of the year dudes about how feldman kinda makes all his projects sound like a different version of Goldfinger. this sounds okay. anybody remember Showoff? those guys were catch as fuck. then the singer turned screamo. that's life.

In terms of making a catchy record, these guys can do no wrong.

not that bad... city sleeps is a lot better... cant wait for their cd
john feldman can make anyone sound good... i'm biased against him as a producer, it's the same sound...
but as a band, the song itself isn't bad... feldman makes em sound the same though, which is a shame

i'll mail him 10 bucks if he uses a different snare drumI was just about to say that... John Feldmann's production techniques produce pretty much the worst sounding drums I have heard recorded.
