Well, there we have it! Another week in the bag. I hope everyone had an excellent past seven days. My week was interesting, to say the least. It consisted most notably of a near-death experience, and a series of some priceless parties. Moving on, I had Steve Soboslai of Punchline (http://www.punchkids.com) join me for recommendations. Below are some bands and artists Steve and I feel you should be listening to, if you're not already, and we hope you find something you enjoy:

Skunk Allstars (http://www.myspace.com/skunkallstars) - Over and over agan, Frank Liesener continues to amaze me. Hatred of a Minute, his sophmore effort, will be released sometime this October, and I urge you to give it a listen.

Slightly Stoopid (http://www.slightlystoopid.com) - Just listen. That's all I have to say.

Less Than Jake (http://www.lessthanjake.com) - There's nothing new to say about these guys, except for that the new album will turn some heads. Prepare yourselves.

Leftover Crack (http://www.leftovercrack.com) - They've been one of my favourite bands for a long time, and they just never fail to entertain. The energy is unreal.

Morning Glory (http://www.mglory.org) - Ska-punk at its finest.

----------------------Steve Soboslai's (Punchline) Recommendations----------------------

My name is Steve. I play guitar and sing for Punchline and I haven't slept all week. I'm up all night thinking of what music I should recommend. I've narrowed a list of 456 songs/albums/artists down to 5. It wasn't easy, but life isn't easy. Check it out:

Split Habit (http://www.purevolume.com/splithabit) - You don't see too many bands consisting of only 3 people...know why? Because it's super hard. Split Habit from Chicago does it amazing. They are a big influence on my writing. I like them. A lot. Go listen to "Spooner" at http://www.purevolume.com/splithabit. It will be your new favorite song.

The Casual Lean (http://www.casuallean.com) - Longtime friends who just signed to Doghouse Records. Their singer Justin Oliver sings on our album ACTION in the song "Coldest of Calendars". They should call him MC Wordsman for his brilliant lyrics. Who knows, maybe someday they will.

Archers of Loaf (http://www.aliasrecords.com/archersofloaf) - This is an older school indie rock band, they were the first concert I ever saw at Club Laga (RIP) in Pittsburgh. Check out their song "Web In Front". It changed my life. I don't know where you can find this song. Ask Neo or Morpheus, one of them will know.

Unsung Zeros (http://www.myspace.com/unsungzeros) - Before they broke up they recorded a groundbreaking EP that was never released, I'm sure you can download the songs somewhere on the net. You should. Its very good. Check out the song "Nothing at All" over at
http://myspace.com/unsungzeros

Clearview Kills (http://www.clearviewkills.com) - My friend Dan's band. Dan comes over my house and we play guitar together. He's a good kid and his band is making some noise and some
buzzing sounds as they say. I know you might be scared to check them out as they are self admitting killers, but don't be afraid.

Also check out:

The Berlin Project (http://www.myspace.com/theberlinproject) - They are playing their last shows this month.
A Week In July (http://www.myspace.com/aweekinjuly) - From Pittsburgh, PA.
Fiction City (http://www.purevolume.com/fictioncity) - From Toronto, coming to visit me this weekend!

And you're crazy if you don't isten to:

Death Cab For Cutie (http://www.deathcabforcutie.com)
Relient K (http://www.relientk.com)
Ben Folds (http://www.benfolds.com)

There's a lot of good music there. Listen to it all, and you'll get a better idea of who I am. I want you to know who I am, so I can know who you are, and that way we'll just know. Like Apple Jacks, they just do. Ya know?

Oh, and here's a picture of me with a camel.

Bradon, I recommend you listen to The Max Levine Ensemble. They're one of my favorite ska bands ever.

I've heard just a couple of songs, and good things about others. Thus, I have no doubt in my mind that anything will dissapoint.

Unsung Zeroes were one of the best bands ever, if they released that EP they would have been huge.

I don't know about being huge. I loved those new songs though. It's sad to see this band go unnoticed. I wish I got to see a show before they called it quits. Moments from Mourning was a really good album.
