flirt with my self-esteem
and i won’t be suprised if you get a knock-back
i spend more time on my knee’s for myself
than anyone else “up there”
you may call it blasphemy - but i call it business
and i’m quite the closer - (thanks to all the stitches)
they put their hands together for all the wrong reasons
(i put my head in mine)
I love it how the record keeps spinning
even when we’ve stopped
when giving up’s just making out without the hush-hush
don’t you cry
this is my shot at a lullaby
my smile spends most it’s time in the corner of my lips
(the rest is spent wrapped around yours)
tied your heartstrings in knots and watched you trip up
I remember you calling it love
turn everybody else off
and watch me glow in the dark
I love it how the record keeps spinning
even when we’ve stopped
when giving up’s just making out without the hush-hush
don’t you cry
this is my shot at a lullaby

I quite like this line. Again a fresh line i've never seen before. Yet another good piece of work, not cliche, pretty solid structure. Good job man!

Yeah seriously. Like eveything i post on here gets dissed because its labeled as "too cliche" even if its not.
Teacup Types?\
LOLZ

Yeahhh i love indie music, and classical poetry is sweet. Contemporary is okay, but im more into classical indie type music than i would be into prog music even though both have their equal amounts of goodness to them

I usually like your lyrics as they tend to remind me of Northstar in a way, even if I fail to comment on them. But come on, you can't go around calling people pretentious because they do not like your lyrics.

Because everything you post on here is cliche and terrible.

I thought he said he liekd the pretentious kids/indie kids?
And i know most of what i've posted on here has been cliche, but those have been songs i didnt really give my all for and just wanted to see how many other people didnt like them. Weird logic? Yes, but it proved a point.
I write better things than that and will hopefully post some new better stuff soon.

i like this one as well, but i still prefer the other one. the imagery was much more vivid.

thanks guys - and i'm not saying you're pretentious TK
and I'm not calling the kids who don't like my lyrics pretentious either -
but you must agree that a few of the users on here are the "art gallery" pretentious type
(which I find extremely ironic considering where this site came from)
and i'm hoping eventually they'll come around
