I am just curious where else all of our readers go to find out about new bands and read interviews and album reviews? I know we're really popular and so is Pitchfork, but I'm curious where else you all hang out on the web. Leave me a message in the replies and let me know!

Well, this site has a monopoly on news for me, since you guys report on bands I listen to more than any other site. But for reviews, I split my time between punknews.org and allmusic.com. Fuck pitchfork and their long-winded elitist reviews.

EuphoniaOnline.net!! (http://www.euphoniaonline.net)

They do fantastic interviews with the awesomest bands (Punchline, Panic! at the Disco, Great Glass Elevator to name the latest), and the reviews are absolutely stellar. Latest news, too... they have it all.

First site I ever frequented on a daily basis was emotionalpunk.com (interviews and reviews). I came to AP a few times, but was always turned off because I thought everyone was an asshole. Eventually that changed. Now I almost literally never go anywhere else unless linked to interviews or reviews or drama from here.

If I'm looking for new bands I'm either linked to new stuff by bands I already like, or I do some random searches on PureVolume or Epitonic.com. For reviews I'll occasionally check Pitchfork, but they don't really report on stuff I'm really into. There's just no point in going anywhere else other than here. It sounds retarded and lazy, but it's just the truth.

As a sidenote, I used to frequent punkhardcore.com and mxtabs.net ALLLL THE TIME for tabs/chords. The former usually had news on the frontpage, so I would read that.

I know you guys don't like them, but decoymusic I enjoy, as well as emotionalpunk, I like the band features that have at the bottom. I rarely enjoy a band that sends me a friend request on Myspace. I mean enjoy like Acceptance or Cartel or something. Sometimes if I'm really bored I'll browse PV.com. Otherwise, it's this site. You guys have introduced me to almost everything I listen to, including my favorite band ever, Acceptance.

Sometimes I will see a band name pop up so often that I will finally go check them out, like Bleed the Dream. I thought I wouldn't lik them cause of all the Taste of Chaos posts (I'm really into those screamo bands), but I listened to them and loved them. I also kept seeing posts about Number One Gun's new cd. I liked their old stuff, but not so much that I was interested in checking out the new one. But one day I saw a post on here and thought, what the hell, so I listened to it and it's now one of m top 10 of this year.

I keep it old-school: word of mouth. I don't really trust reviews for anything [movies, music, etc]. Sometimes I don't even trust word of mouth. I just see random band t-shirts and go "note to self, check out that band later."

punknews.org. been going there daily/weekly since 2000, longer than I've been coming here. its not nearly as useful for news, but they're reviews are great and they are a bit more balanced as they cover more actual 'punk' bands whereas AP covers a lot more emo/pop bands. theyr'e the ying to your yang and a great site despite scott and jason's schoolgirl bickering.

Been here for three, maybe four years, entirely too often everyday.
Punknews.org (http://www.punknews.org) for about three years.
Pastepunk (http://www.pastepunk.com) and Punkrocks (http://www.punkrocks.net) I'll check occasionally.
I'm on Allmusic (http://www.allmusic.com) all the time for various reasons...they're good, but I'm desperately trying to get a job there if only to fix all 535252 of their minor problems (all the punk/hardcore/etc.bands go unnoticed; i.e. Against Me!'s Don't Lose Touch 7" EP is listed as a Main Album, Saosin is listed under the World genre, Comeback Kid is apparently Classic Jazz...).
I'll check Pitchfork (http://www.pitchforkmedia.com) occasionally to see if they reviewed anything I care about. But then I'll tend to glaze over it if it's one of their typical self-aggrandizing ones.

You won't find the reviews on their site, but they do have a lot of reviews in their magazine...
