Roadrunner Records is planning to re-release Glassjaw's Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about Silence March 24th, 2009. The album will be remastered and released on both CD and vinyl formats containing two additional tracks, the band's cover of Youth of Today's "Modern Love Story" and a demo version of "Convectuoso.

I'd put money on Glassjaw accusing this release as being another way Roadrunner will rape people for money.

There is a preorder up on Best Buy's website.

Now how about some new GJ?

I'd rather W&T come out on vinyl and they just break up.

i'd rather Worshirp & Tribute too. They might as well be broken up... that new record seems like it will never see the light of day.

EYEWTKAS is definitely a classic album in the Post-Hardcore genre.

W&T is still an amazing album, far more melodic.

cool, kids not into music and vinyl will have something else to buy. we need to press TREOS on vinyl, that's our economic stimulus!

Only one of the best albums ever recorded. In my opinion.
It doesn't need remastering though, what's the point of that?

Really though, I've lost all interest in this new album that's supposedly coming out.

I disagree with that second statement. I think Everything is a lot catchier.

the pressing for this will be so insane that their hardcore fanbase is going to get pissed. lol

I've tried not to lose interest because I love the band so much but its hard to keep looking forward to what probably won't ever come about. I still have hope though, but if the album doesnt come out this year then I'll begin to not give a shit atall.

Over-fucking-rated. The hype behind Glassjaw is pretty incredible.

i expect nothing else. if i had a shitty mysoginist fake post-hardcore album that i could get people marginally connected to the scene to buy i'd totally presss the shit out of it.

Totally. Touring with Deftones to promote the record didn't hurt either.

still think Worship/Tribute is miles above this album. at this point they should just release what they have and call it a day

I can't see that. Which tracks are you referring to on EYEW..?
With W&T, I find myself singing along with the album. With EYE, I find myself listening more (and a few screaming episodes).

I can't stand this band for all the crap they put their fans through. Good music, but I will never purchase anything of theirs.

I doubt they will be seeing a dime for this.

As a few others have said, W&T on vinyl would get me more interested.

Hasn't Daryl been quoted saying he hated Everything? Like how he thought it was just stupid and angry? I don't know I recall hearing that somewhere.

They're all doing different things right now, Justin Beck with merchdirect and Daryl with Head Automatica, plus I'm sure it's got to be all kinds of embarrassing when you're 30 and you still write songs about killing your girlfriend.

All in all, I find myself disliking GJ more and more because they never follow through with their third release. I love their music, but how long will you keep people waiting before they don't want to hear you anymore? Daryl cancels tours because of his illness, yet he has 50 side projects. If he quits those projects and focuses back on GJ's third album (which I don't see being released this year), more people will care. I would want this vinyl if they were active about Glassjaw.

Don't offer me a vinyl to take my mind off of your nonexistent third album and its never coming.

All I know is that I could give 2 shits about the new songs they've been playing live, I want to hear the songs with the alleged "latin/spanish feel".

Don't buy it. It's just RoadRunner trying to make a quick buck. They treated GJ like shit, and now they are trying to cash in off of them. Glassjaw gets no money from this.

Why are Glassjaw always the first dudes to complain about RoadRunner when that label pretty much made them. Being able to produce with Ross Robinson and then tour on that album with the Deftones, play Ozzfest, etc.? Maybe I'm missing some large thing that happened that made these dudes upset with the label, but whenever they talk about it they come off as whiney.

Pretty much they didn't let them tour as much as they wanted to or promote the album as much as the band would of liked. And from reading interviews, Daryl said they weren't the nicest to them and RR was all about the money, which shows because here they are trying to make money, again, off a band not even on their roster anymore.

How can a label stop you from touring?
