Below is a message from Thrice (http://www.thrice.net/) about a surprise acoustic show in Santa Monica.

Hey LA Area Friends,

We're playing a surprise acoustic show at the Apple store on the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica tonight. Space is very limited so please try to RSVP and get there early. The set will beabout 30 minutes.

Since its such a small show please be early and please be understanding.

i have my armband already.

by the way, its only semi acoustic. i asked the manager of the apple store, its an hour, starts at 7:30, and is going to be the same length as the one on itunes now.

and this is the message:
Thrice is going to perform an exclusive set at the Apple Store in Santa Monica at 7:30PM PST on Thursday 9/29. If you are in the LA area, stop by the store starting at 12PM to pick up a wristband. Space is limited so it's a first come, first serve basis. Doors open at 7PM.

I'm not getting an album of the year vibe. Atlantic and the earth will shake or both pretty cool songs but about halfway through the album everything starts to just get midtempo and all sounds the same, like most thrice cds.

its not even the first time theyve played there acoustic and for free either. now the red sox have to sweep the series this weekend or basically i don't forgive myself for missing the opportunity. i know theyre not related but cmon im in pain here

as a huge thrice fan... this is insanely disappointing... i know bands must progress and such... but if it werent for the vocals i wouldnt even be able to guess that it was thrice... and no that is not a good thing
