Haha I'm just looking for a different tone. If I could afford it I would keep this and just purchase another guitar but I cannot. Also, this is my only guitar and a guitar this rare shouldn't be played as hard as I want to. I'll pick another one up down the road.

Gotcha. It's a shame you couldn't just hold on to it. I wouldn't really count on running into another one down the road, especially not another ebony one like that! If I were you, I probably wouldn't sell it on ebay. Go to some local guitar shows, talk to some dealers, find someone in OKC that collects vintage guitars/Gibsons. I have a feeling you could score a bit more than $1500 for it. If I had that kind of expendable cash, I'd make the 5 hour drive down to OKC tonight to pick it up haha...
