Thoughts so far?

Before i go any further writing, i wanna know if my writing skills are any good.
I've sent it to friends, but i need an honest and unbiased opinion.
Any advice would be awesome :)

It's actually really quite good. Needs to be longer thou, If you asked me, but its not completly terrible.

honestly?
it's very cliche and a bit short.

to improve it I'd make it longer and don't worry about trying to make it rhyme and concentrate more on creating better imagery (:
