Yeah I'm alright, just got a shitload of work atm since it's my last year and there's deadlines to meet etc. I am seriously considering Manchester as a uni for me, so any inside info would be awesome. The main things I want in a uni are good music scene (ie decent bands play in the city/town, and there is a good scene within the uni with student bands/practice space/gigs etc) and that it's a nice campus uni - not all spread out. Does Manchester fit that criteria? haha

I was gonna say I thought they were kinda an underrated band, but now that I think about it, they're on Fueld By Ramen with Fall Out Boy and now that PATD! is getting so much damn publicity, they probably are a little overrated.

But I think they're better than either FOB or PATD! Did you know Pete Wentz is the one that signed The Academy Is..., just like PATD!? I mean he might as well own that label because he is obviously consulted on everything from what bands to sign to what pair of underwear each band member wears.

But, in the end, Panic is the most overrated right now, in my humble opinion...

i'm in catered halls of residence. they're actually really good. rooms are quite big & arranged on a corridor basis. we have a common room too, which is good for making friends with all the people in my building (about 35!). there are 7 blocks on the actual site, meaning there are about 350-400 people in total, all congregating in the dining room for meals (which, by the way, are just like glorified school dinners...).
that answer your question? i know people in self-catered flats & they all seem pretty impressed too.

most of the self-catered stuff is in the middle of it all. it's not exactly a campus university, but EVERYTHING is on one road (oxford road) in manchester, really close to the city centre. buses run VERRRRRRY frequently along the road, so it's easy to get to everything quickly.
