I cant remember,
the last time i saw your, face.
it was only,
three weeks ago, today.
left you there, at the corner, by, your house.
left you there, on that summer, morning.
we both walked, away, in separate directions
we both walked, away, without each other, and alone

turned around, to see you turned around, looking at, me
one last goodbye, saw you turned to cry, as you walked
down the street, and away, away from me
and away, away from me
longing for, the next time we, will be together
that day is far away from now
that day is far away
that day is far away from now
that day is far away

just kinda wanted to see how the lyrics forum on ap is, never been in here before. So i decided what the heck i will put one of my songs on here....i put commas to show where the pauses are in the song

It's really boring. Somber lyrics can be so good but here, you don't really give the listener any reason to care about this particular breakup or whatever. It's basically a song about something that has been written about thousands of times with nothing new to add and nothing to make these particular lyrics special.

Well, I wrote about an event that happened in my life, and that is exactly what happened, i didn't want to make it sound different then what it was. It wasn't about a break-up, its about going away for awhile (in my case, back to school).

That doesn't make it good. Anyone can recount something that happened to them and hit the enter key every now and then. It takes a writer to make a reader care about the event.

The point of my music isn't to be a poet.. I don't want to be a poet, I am a musician, I care more about the music and the relatability of the lyrics, then sounding like a poet. I like simplicity and realness, so that's what i choose to do, and it's just a hobby, so take it for what it is.
