Talk about WWE here. I'm not sure who all watches it here. But keep this thread going.
What does everyone think of the upcoming RAW on USA? It's a special RAW, called the Raw homecoming. (Cause its coming back to USA) Its a special 3 hour event too. It's basically going to be like a PPV, but better. I advise any WWE fan to watch, old or current.

I'm from the UK and i've been a WWF/E fan all my life (im 17). I think its a great idea, and it should be good to see the likes of HHH returning etc.
Since the WCW/ECW invasion happened I havent really liked WWE, for me the invasion was the start of the downward slide for the WWE, i loved it when The Rock and Stone Cold were the main guys, the storylines were amazing.
But this show no doubt will be one of the best WWE shows (not inc PPV) for awhile - cant wait to see Austin back raising hell.

Yeah I totally agree. I would love to see a suprise return from The Rock, but that's not going to happen. The Rock, really really needs to come back.
I'm pretty pumped for this show.

Not sure. Nothing has been said yet. If something big happens (which I'm sure, the whole night is big) it probably will be. It's like a mini Wrestlemania, not nearly as good, but it'll be better than most PPVs in my opinion. I hope they put it out on DVD, but there's no word on it yet.

Hogan, Stone Cold, Mick Foley, and Piper are all making appereances. HHH returns after being gone for a few months.

I don't know though, because obviously HHH is coming back as a face. We all know this. Everytime a big time superstar comes back, they're a face.

I don't see the HHH/Flair feud right now actually. It'd be dumb, because HHH would have to face Flair for the IC title. Well, we'll see how it goes.

Homecoming was great. It reminded me of the old days. You can tell that something was missing the entire night and that was The Rock. Screw him for declining the offer to appear. It would been perfect if he would've showed up. Stone Cold stunning Vince and his family was awesome though he fucked up with Linda. I haven't been that excited over the WWE in a very long time. I jumped on and was like "Holy shit!" when Shane O'Mac came out. He needs to be on Raw alot more again. Steph got hotter. HHH coming back was good as well and I'm look forward to seeing a HHH v. Cena. The main event was horrible and best match of course was Angle v. Michaels. Raw is definitely back where it should be.

No Mercy was so fun. I loved that game. and miss it.If they sorted out the save game feature so your created wrestler didn't just get deleted half way through the career mode, then it would be in my top 3 games of all time for sure. It was amazing.

i used to love it growing up back in the early 90's, and recently watched it when it went back to usa, but after stone cold gave linda a stunner, i realized why i don't like it anymore.

That's really sad how its got when Edge is the champion. Jericho has charisma and had great mic skills along with technical wrestling. Edge has nothing, he's dull and boring.
Also of note: Jericho is the only undisputed champion in history (WWF and WCW belts)

True, Jericho had great mic skills. But before he even got close to the championship, he was just another Intercontinental contender really.

How does Edge make a shitty champion. He has more wrestling ability than about 95% of the current WWE roster (including John "Worst wrestler ever" Cena) and can talk on the mic well. You also have to remember he has probably been in more decent matches than anyone else on the roster (that is not an ex-ecw superstar) when you take his tag team career into consideration.

You're right, he has probably more wrestling ability than a lot of the roster, and yes he has been in lots of decent matches. But as a singles wrestler, I don't see him appealing to an audience. I am usually always fans of heel wrestlers. But there are some that just don't do it for me, and Edge is one of them. I think his mic skills are pretty bad and boring, and I think he was truely only good with Christian.
And yeah, John Cena is a prick. He entertains I suppose, but he's still an asshole.

i've said it before. ecw is the best there ever was. you could just feel the emotion whenever you watched those matches. i remember growing up and first seeing it on my local channel, they did stuff other guys wouldn't even dream of. they made wrestling really fun and realistic. those guys put every ounce that they had into every match, its sad to see it go.
but back to the wwe. these new idiots aren't ready to take the torch into the next wave of wrestling. they aren't trained at all and their mic skills suck compared to the combo of austin/hhh/rock/jericho of a few years ago, among others. i'm glad cena lost, it was really sad seeing him, a foot shorter than jbl, beat him last year to end his 1+ year title reign to become champion.

We're hearing that the current plan for the Vince McMahon/Shawn Michaels storyline is for Shawn to face none other than The Rock at Wrestlemania 22 in Chicago. In the storyline, Vince will apparantly put up "big bucks" to bring back "Hollywood" Rock in an attempt to take out Michaels. Interestingly, you'll remember them doing something VERY similar back in 2003 before No Way Out with The Rock coming back in to face Hogan. Due to the (fairly) detailed description of what the plan is, we would assume Rock has already been contrcted and has agreed to the match. We would not expect a long feud however, instead expect Vince to feud with HBK and bring Rock in just a few weeks prior to Wrestlemania. This would work out best for Rock who is beginning filming of a new movie around April time.
This also puts the rumoured Austin/Hogan match in major doubt, as we are told WWE do not want to promote both Austin/Hogan and Rock/Michaels on the same card, so if this is the plan as we are hearing it, then it seems WWE might have given up on getting Austin and Hogan together at WM.
More as we get it.
I can't really see The Rock coming back to WWE, but if so that would be a decent match. Austin/Hogan I'm not so sure about

i read that. this means a kick assss wrestlemania main event, whether its angle/benoit, angle/michaels, or angle/mysterio - or if he turns face, angle/orton.

I think he deserved it after all the shit he gets with the fans. It was strange to see him in the chamber and watch people cheer him while they booed Cena.

they made a point last year of saying he was undefeated at WM so he won't lose. maybe he'll die again, we can only hope.
They make that point every year now, it's just one of the great things about him.

i truly hope he gets it back soon - since he won the championship, he has produced the biggest ratings raw has seen in years.
I heard the rating weren't that great since they came back to USA. Its good to see someone else in the mix, but I was never too big on edge to begin with.

i dont know - i really doubt this, because mcmahon has never given ecw much credit - but then again, they need to do SOMETHING to boost the buyrate on that ecw ppv, because they're going to have trouble getting old ecw guys back again, since many of them are employed by tna now

the main event vs. main event was amazzzing. I loved it, except it was CRAZY when everyone was doing all their finishing moves. but cena came back on top when hhh thought he got him down.
and then the street fight, amazing. Shawn Michaels has always been my favourite wrestler, he was amazing as usual i can't wait for wrestlemania, hbk is gonna kick mcmahons assss.

face vs. face at ecw ppv? rvs vs. rey wouldnt have that main event feel, it has to be triple h, so that it would feel like some sort of great triumph

well see - lots of the old ecw guys are in tna now, so most-likely we will see something like terry funk vs. foley rvd vs. helmsley and maybe a rey title defense against orton - this would allow for some grand in ring celebration with rvd and rey. the whole damn night is gonna have an eddie guererro tribute vibe haha
