Hey,
I caught a video in which Ben Weinman referred the Zoom H4 as great and I got caught up investigating these digital recorders.
Any thoughts on the Zoom H2? For recording rock rehearsals, drums, etc.
better off spending a bit more and getting a usb 8 chan interface (can be had for around 2-300 on ebay) and micing up the guitar amps, bass amp, vocals, snare, kick, and two overheads, and record into a laptop. geta patchbay, or if you're cheap like me, y splitters s each instrument can go both to the PA/Monitors, and the interface.

for the price it's pretty good. but if you have the money i'd go for something a bit more advanced, the h2 is like the intro to recording devices that those trying out for summer camp use..

Thanks for the views.
I've got it, and due to the crappy acoustics of where I have my drums, I get clipping with the lowest mic gain when I play like say Riley Breckenridge ^^. I can sound like Ulrich, at no cost!!!
Hopefully I'll get to exchange it, and if not it might work better in places with better acoustics.
