Politics forum improvements

I regularly read the politics forum on this site and it seems to me that it is this aspect of it that receives the least amount of interest. During the US election period there was an increase in activity, although these topics also got covered in general forum as well, though this has not carried on. I have seen and, to a small extent, been involved in some reasoned and lively debate on these boards and think this needs to carry on. The politics forum could be made to be an even more entertaining and informative place.

Basically this might be a good time to get together a list of suggestions as to things we can do to make this place come (more) alive. I thought maybe something as simple as a daily discussion topic might help, I am a politics student and as such do nothing with my day so I would love to help out somewhat with that.

Any other suggestions?

Sounds like a good idea. I think this has grown to be my favourite forum.

That's cool, I'll put one up in here tomorrow - if anyone has any ideas for a discussion post feel free to do it yourselves or put in here so we can get a range of topics ready for the coming days.
