Damn, I've been bothering myself for switching Best Costume at last minute before emailing my ballot, I could have tied with Jacob. But this is still awesome. :woot:

Makeup was worth either 5 or 8 points. You would've won.

You mean Costume was worth 5 or 8? DAMN. I seriously switched it at last minute, decided to take another risk aside from Animated Short. Both risks failed me. Glad I played it safe with the rest, but either way, Jacob isn't crazy about Slumdog and a poster for that is one of the prizes, right? Yeah, what are the prizes?
It would also be interesting to know some statistics, like what percentage voted for Penn or Rourke.

I also messed up on costume. I was pretty sure The Duchess would take it, but I was hoping for an upset that would gain me points - oh well.

I would have done excellent if the academy would have went with some upsets other than Rourke. But they didn't so im here to turn in any self pride that I once had.

I also did it for Best Foreign Language, picking Waltz with Bashir hoping for an upset over The Class. Turns out neither won, haha. I wonder if anyone got that right.

Yeah, I voted for Penn because I thought he would win, but I was cheering for Mickey.

well obviously you would say this, haha
well obviously you would say this, haha
My strategy was simple:
Given almost everything to Slumdog Millionaire (I chose Milk for editing and I regret it, I figured it was a cert what with all the historical footage they used to great effect- but no. Apparently Slumdog was better )
Others were easy; Penelope Cruz was luck, Penn beating Rourke seemed likely since most of the Academy lives in Prop 8 affected Calfornia/his was the more "Oscar" performance. Rourke deserved to win.

I really don't think so. I chose Rourke and convinced myself that he would win. But, I kind of knew that it would go to Penn. It really could have gone either I guess.

What do you have up for grabs? Stayillogical (Jess) and Brad (BradyReirer) deserve some just as much. I have a lot so I'm really not to needy, but if there's anything yuo have that I don't have it'd be cool.
