What's the worst way you bullshitted something, but still managed to pull out a decent grade?

I recently wrote an essay for cultural studies on xzibit internet memes as it relates to democratizing art. This was the 3rd essay I wrote in a day and I just didn't care if it made sense. I haven't got the essay back yet however so ...we'll see...

I do this on a daily basis, and it's a terrible habit. I've taken to cheating on the English tests I have to do three times a week, and I used to have this kid do my Chemistry homework but he was way too much of a creeper so now I just suck it up and do it myself.

I bullshit majority of my school work. I recently had to write a personal narrative on a real life event that influenced me today... Shit, its called lifetime. That Shit'll get you straight A's. lol, jk.
But, I did just basically copy the plot of a lifetime movie and i ended with a 98 percent on it.
edit: I bullshit my highschool work.
For my classes at KCC, i tend to put at least a 75 percent effort..

Same here. If you write "God loves me" as an answer you'll get some kind of credit, regardless of the question. haha

My friend had an English teacher who was extremely dumb, and we had to do book reports every marking period, so he just did the same book report over and over, except he changed the names of the characters/the name of the book/the author and messed with a couple sentences. Got a hundred every time.

I did it enough as a kid to catch it all the time now that I'm a teacher. Win-win.
I competely bullshit all my chemistry and math homework, as the teachers just look to see that you did the work. But it's starting to catch up with me... so I should probably stop doing it.

English lit is kind of bullshit. Anyone can make up symbolism, or diction or whatever. I also know those people who use such elevated language that the paper just sounds good even though the teachers have no idea what they're saying, so they always get A's.

Back in high school, a friend inserted the Star Spangled Banner in the middle of his book report. Still got an A, thus proving the teacher didn't even read the reports.

Did a 5 page book report last year for a history course. the professor called me aside after class and said he was really impressed by how brutally honest i was with my review. 100%

In tenth grade Biology, we had weekly assignments where we had to look up and print off science related news articles and write a brief summary about them. One week on homeroom I realized I had forgotten to do it, so I made up some stuff about cells and a study in japan, wrote it on notebook paper, summarized myself, and told the teacher my printer was broken. The best part was that I said the "article" was written by Oxford professor Nate Barcalow, (singer for Finch). I got a 100.

I bullshit on almost every single Economics test I take. Such a lame subject.
when i was in highschool me and my two mates used to sit in the back of our geography class doing nothing but just goofing around. we used to get this guy we knew who sat in fron of us to give us his answers to everything. so we copied all his work basically. the interesting thing was while he did all the work and we just stole his answers, he failed while we all passed. that never made any sense to me.

once in middle school we were supposed to read some book and then take a test on it. and these questions were legit like short answer questions. i didn't even bother to attempt reading even the cliffnotes, yet i got a 100 on the test and people that actually read got bad grades. take that, reading.

I never read books for school. Ever. Sometimes I'll take a look at the Sparknotes, but very rarely do I read the book. Well a few months ago, we had an essay about one of the books we were supposed to have read. I wrote maybe 3 paragraphs and talked about events that didn't even happen in the book--got a 90. I didn't even know the characters names. It was ridiculous.
Also, last year, I did an entire book report on a book I didn't read (that was a major part of my first semester grade) and got a 100.

In my AP english class we had to write a 10 or 12 page report on a book of our choosing, which I promptly procrastinated on until not the night before, but the class before (I had a computer class first and english next). I typed 11 pages of material in the span of an hour and a half

I didn't read "To Kill A Mockingbird" freshman year. Did completely fine in the class though.
Next year I'm going to have to bullshit a Spanish course, though... Those are harder. I hate that Colleges make you have two foreign language credits.

How the hell did you pull this off hahaha? I type pretty fast myself and usually can whip out a 2-3 page paper in a period before its due (about 50 minutes) but that's probably my limit. Did you already have it all planned out or what? That's crazy man.

Well the paper was divied into sections of wlhat was needed and such, so i guess if you put it all together it was a bit less, but id say no less then a page of my previous estimate. Im just a monster when I get enough motivation to do something
Haha I bullshat my way through my Stats midterm, and it looks like everyone else in my class did the same 'cause the average was 45%. Our class isn't even on a curve, so that's ridiculous.

my best subject is probably math. i don't find geometry as much of a challenge so if i procrastinate in any class, it's geometry. all last semester and kind of in this semester i hardly turned in any of my work. usually, i'll turn it in like a week after it's due, along with like 5 other things i haven't turned in. best part is, my teacher still gives me full credit for everything. i passed last semester with a B with like 10 missing assignments.
i also procrastinate a lot on book reviews, read less than half of it the night it's due, sometimes don't even check spark notes, and still manage to get it done and on turnitin and i always and up with a B or higher. i'm also in honors. i am currently doing this as we speak. if i don't get it i usually make up some excuse as to why i didn't put it online and she usually extends it a day anyways for some other kids who didn't put it online.

haha. math has always been my best subject though. i'd rather do algebra. at least it would be somewhat of a challenge. that's why i don't do the work, because i know i can finish it any time i want. haha.

One of my friends wrote a report for geography on a snake that could fly and made up some scientific name for it 2 periods before it was due( Every week or so we have to report on something in the news)
The teacher said she heard about it :/

lol, in 8th grade we had to do a book report for "Journey To The Center Of The Earth" and I didn't read so the night before I rented a movie adaptation that was completely inaccurate so i went on wikipedia and own3d it up. When I got my grade back not only did I get an A but there was a chart from 1 to 10. One being "done the night before" and 10 being "put in a lot of time and effort" or something along those lines. I got a ten.
I should have saved that stupid report.

Oh. Haha. I was going to ask if you've read "The Necklace". My teacher made us write a sequel to that story. I titled mine "The Necklace 2: Madame Loisel's Excellent Adventure" and made it about the lady going back in time. I got full credit for it. Haha.

Man how the hell did you guys pull this stuff out. All my middle school and high school teachers always caught bs. My brother has had to travel the same path of honor and ap teachers that I had. Any kid who tried to bs a math assignment for Geo or Calc got caught. Us Ap caught, etcs.
Only time I got away with it was with Sense and Sensibility and that was because it was a comparison with Pride and Prejudice for Ap Lit.

I just wrote a 10 page essay for on how That Obscure Object of Desire utilizes Eisenstein's Dictum as seen in Battleship Potemkin for my World Cinema course the other week. I didn't watch either movie and bullshitted my way to a 95 in the matter of an hour or two using only a wikipedia page and a 5 minute youtube clip of one of the movies. I usually do all of my work and get great grades, but I've never had any problem bullshitting when I need to.

I took these bullshit classes for the Honors College my freshman year of college. We were assigned reading from ~16 books per semester. It was ridiculous. I didn't read most of them. The only time I read was when I got a paper assignment requiring specific references to the book. My grades in those four classes were A-, A-, A- and A.

I went to a Catholic high school and all four years, during the summer, we were assigned a book and had a 10+ page report due on it the first week of classes. I not once read any of the books and still received an A on all of them. I looked/asked around for a common theme and just BS'd my way through all 10 pages about that one common theme.
My senior year, my teacher thought she'd catch me by asking me specific questions, I somehow BS'd through those as well.

Yeah, pretty much the same. I really don't give a shit in school and I'm still an excellent student. I often wonder where studying would lead me, though.
