Everytime I hear Kenny's voice, I am reminded about how good BOATS was, and how it's not as big or as respected these days as I think it should be.

I think im retarded or something, but for some reason i think these two dudes can work music pretty good together, but it sounds much like gatsby to me, but i like it for some strange reason, i think they both should start a band because the song is fairly decent, i dunno i think im tired, fuck your shit im wierd

That was possibly my biggest dissapointment this year.

Maybe I should listen again, but I was HIGHLY dissapointed with it.

Everytime I hear Kenny's voice, I am reminded about how good BOATS was, and how it's not as big or as respected these days as I think it should be. Was? IS! that CD still kicks ass. Yeah it definitely didn't get respect. I don't know what's with that. Nowadays I guess it's only cool to like certain pop punk bands.

oh my goodness. this will be the best christmas cd ever!!!!!

Spoken's "Mary did you know?" will be so great. i can tell. that is an amazing song already, but to hear spoken do it will be awesome. matt has such a great voice. And Copeland's "Do you hear what i hear" leaked a long time ago, but it is an amazing song. Mae's "Carol of the bells" will be interesting. overall, looks very solid!

I'll have to pick up this album once it comes out. I agree that BOATS, was a very underrated CD. It didn't get any were near the respect or air play it should have. i still listen to that album all of the time. The starting line is one of my favorite bands.

I just wanted to thank you for confusing me for a good 10 minutes when I tried to figure out what the heck BOATS meant.
Album name acronyms and I don't mix very well, haha, as it's so obvious to tell.

I loved Based On A True Story but there's just something about it that's forgettable. I really can't explain it, the album was great, but didn't have that Fallout Boy catchiness. "Ready" is such a great song though, so is "Artistic Liscense" but I think my favorite would have to be "Suprise, Suprise."

Kenny is def. a very underrated vocalist

switchfoot song on here is over 5 years old. t&n bringing it back to take advantage of their success which is what i would do too.

i agree. i dunno. i just dont like them live as much as i like other bands. i have a rule that if im not impressed seeing them live, then im waisting my time on their cd. just because its a let down. i bought BOATS and i love it, i just have a really hard time getting into them live. when i saw them last friday at nft, i saw them do suprise suprise then best of me and about 5 seconds of what ever song they did next i think inspired by the $ but i cant remember...anyway thats all i listened to because i just wasnt interested in it anymore. sad that such a great vocalist cant pull the same thing off live...

OH MY GOD!!

I'm gonna have to change pants on the damn double. This looks awesome and I surely will buy this.

Copeland is already a great band to listen to if you're just driving down the road on a cold winter night with snow on the ground and christmas lights strung up on people's houses. But when they actually do a Christmas cover??!! The unimaginable greatness of this...

Christmas is coming... I feel like I'm 9 again.

Slovo
10/04/05, 05:07 AM
it was a good song, but there was nothing very christmas about it. well I mean the lyrics were, but there was no holiday feel to it. (ex: blink 182 -I won't be home..., NFG - Ex-Miss, etc.)

i agree. there are so many christmas songs. although this album and a few others feature relative "holiday" songs, i would like to see some albums based on some of the other holidays. how cool would it be to have a halloween compilation?

I have knows Jason and alot of the people that write for this site for sevral years now and not only have I never paid them to write about the bands I manage The Starting Line, Say Anything, Underoath and JamsionParker but i have never even bought anyone from this site a drink at a show, I may not have ever even given them free merch from a band i work with. Now that I think about it I'm kind of an asshole that doesnt support these guys enough. If they were taking money to write about bands don't you think you would see comments of every person telling them the bands they like suck? It's usually just one or two people who hate the bands the people running this site support and they tend to hate everything anyway and just hang out here to bitch because no one else will listen to them.

If that guy hates music for you people he should stop coming to a site like this and go hang out on Pitchfork media or some other elitest site.

I'm done ranting and not making sense carry on with your day, but don't forget at midnight tonight I'll be posting two solo songs from Aaron from Underoath.
