woah woah woah woah woah

you DID NOT just say that. i agree that perfect situation is a good song, but make believe is like, their least good album.

come on, maladroit had:

slob
slave
love explosion
december
death and destruction
burndt jamb

actually, they're all incredible on that album

have you listened to all of their albums?

Probably not. I know for sure that Make Believe is better then The Blue album and The Red Album, because those ones I own. and I can't stand the song Dope Nose.

02/24/09, 09:11 AM
man, i don't like the LOVE that blue and pinkerton get because although they're good albums, they're not THE BEST 90'S ALBUM EVAR!!!!!!! like most people think.

re-listen to maladroit, read the lyrics, skip dope nose if you need to, but come on Beverly Hills? We Are All On Drugs? those are really bad songs.

In my 16-year-old brain, incorporating the full band was an enormous affront to Dashboard's essence. No longer acoustic, no longer as melodramatic, no longer as appealing.

I was in high school from 2001-2005, and was enamored with Deja Entendu, Tell All Your Friends, Full Collapse and Take This to Your Grave until the end of junior year. That summer, I fell hard for The Shins and Wilco, ensuring that Chutes Too Narrow and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot dominated my playlist.

Those six albums were the works that I played the most frequently and meant the most to me as a teen. My tastes have evolved greatly since (though I'm still fond of those Fall Out Boy muppets, The Shins are fun for a listen, and Yankee Hotel has taken on greater importance as I've aged).

I know, right? I've just heard it way to much. 2005, that's all I remember people around me playing. Eventually I got to a point where I didn't like Weezer in general, just because of that song.

I got over it though.

High school was easy and fun, so I didn't rely on records to "get me through." I listened to a lot of Alkaline Trio, a lot of Gorilla Biscuits, New Found Glory, and then Simon and Garfunkel.
