I know they broke up awhile back now, and I know talk about them too much, but I miss them. Hold On touches me more than any other album, ever. Let's hear some appreciation for them. I fucking love them.

Me too. They were top notch. We give up sometimes was probably my favourite on Hold on.

It's what you want and who you are, that has always been, two very different things. So I wore my best clothes on the last day, that I had to carry us in an uphill war. And I dropped you under the shelter of an old friend, you didn't mind then, so don't you now. Is this what we're fighting for?

i agree and i fucking love them as well, i constently listen to all of there older songs from the silent game ep and there split with bayside, they never get old. Hold On is no slouch either, it continues to be one of my favorite albums of all time. just imagine if they were still together... it sucks

One of my biggest regrets was that I didn't buy a shirt when I saw them. It was the one that said "teenage mutant name taken" in the cool tmnt writing. I miss them. :(

Very good song. I know you enjoyed their older stuff more. I love the old stuff, but Hold On was so beautiful in my opinion.

It's sad that only a few people have commented on this.

The EP blew this cd away :( and so did the demo version of the songs that made it on the full length and split.

I love everything they have done.
But I do think that Hold On, was the best thing they did.

"A year spent cold" has always been my favorite of theirs. I think they could of made it pretty big if they kept going. They were really young too werent they? Maybe they'll pull a Fenix Tx and come back...or we can always hope.

You absolutely love this band, yet you said Straylight Run is boring.
Quit giving Iowa a bad name.
I do like Name Taken, but none of their material was ever anything amazing or ground breaking.

Yes, Straylight Run is boring to me. Name Taken is a much better band. I never said it was ground breaking, but they made music that was very touching to me, and I love them for that. And yes, they're amazing.

Straylight Run live is probably the worst thing you could possibly see. They bore me too.

Haha, No. They are like the worst band I have ever seen live, and I've seen a lot of shows. I felt like shooting myself in the face.

Im guessing you saw them in 2003 at The Ranch Bowl......or did you see them with Something Corporate and Hidden In Plain View???

I saw them open for SoCo, it was painful. Hidden In Plan View was also very painful.

That would be the problem.
They didnt do that great of a job at that show because they were opening for a pop band. They had hundreds of stupid ***s in the crowd that didnt give a shit about them or what they do. Some of them knew one of their songs that was on the radio and thats it. I wouldnt have given a shit how I did that night either if I were them. I know if you would've saw them at The Ranch Bowl with less than 100 people there you would've loved it. Energy from the crowd and band and much more intimate and not crowded with stupid fucks. Dont judge their live show just from that one experience. Everytime I have saw them besides that, which as been three other times it has been great.

Haha I actually regret that too. I got the blue one with the sailboat instead.
i got the blue one with the monster truck...i loved that shirt
i remember first listening to Safety Of Routine in the old AudioGalaxy Days...and then falling in love with Magnolia, and For Sunday.
i also remember looking everywhere for Hold On...i love that cd. I find it pretty cool that they didnt get much shit for changing their sound.
