There's no big deal about not having a boyfriend at your age. You don't have to jump on the bandwagon with everyone else you know. I had a boyfriend during my 8th grade and 9th grade years and didn't even start dating anyone until a couple weeks ago and I'm 21. Don't feel like you need one just because everyone else has one. Most of high school relationships are trivial anyway.

I agree, some of them are pointless and meaningless at that age, im onli 16, but thats 2 more years of exp :) You need to search around and look for more people, then compare hu likes u most, and obviously hu u like most, if you just go for any old lad, you could end up and a sticky situation :(

don't worry about it at all. i had my first real boyfriend at 21 and we're still together today. no one would look at me and think wow, she's weird. plus, you don't want to lower your standards, just to have a boyfriend. it'll mean a lot more when you really like the person and the feelings are mutual.
you could end up and a sticky situation :( literally, and it's a good thing

I'm 14, and never had a boyfriend until last month. I know it's upsetting, but just hang on in there and I'm sure someone'll come along soon. 'Good things come to those who wait', and believe me - I know that one's true.

I've never had a girlfriend, and I'm sixteen. It's not that I cannot get a girlfriend. Im more than capable. I just enjoy being in love with girls and chasing them more than I would dating. Plus I bet if I went out with a girl, I would cheat on her. But something has to give. Its my junior year, and I need at least one tragic romance to leave highschool with.

i was in the same boat as you (i'm 17 now)..i pretty much thought i sucked at life because i had never had a girlfriend, but trust me..at 14, a relationship should one one of the last things on your to-do list. it's not all that uncommon..most of of the friends you see getting into "relationships" won't last because at that age (and although it's only a 3 year difference, but the maturaty difference is astonishing) most kids don't know what they want in terms of what kind of person they click with. i didn't get a girlfriend until i was 16, and i've been going out with her since march. the thing about that was that i didn't go out looking for it, it just kinda happened..
also, most of my friends, who at that point had had their share of shitty breakups, were very cynical when it came to relationships. however, i, having nothing to be cynical about, went into it not expecting anything, and look at what happened. we've been dating 7 months and i love her to death. don't think you're wierd or unusual for not having a girlfriend at 14, as i said, i was in the same boat and now i'm glad for that.
I've decided that boyfriends are overrated anyways, every time I'm in a relationship I'm always unhappy. I wouldn't worry about it.

pls help me now peeps????????there's nothing wrong with not having a boyfriend at 14. i got my first boyfriend when i was 16, i think...maybe 15..but that's no the point. just take your time. there really is no hurry. and if you ever think "how can SHE get a boyfriend but i can't?" when you see some gross looking girl with a guy... most likely reason is that she puts out. just be yourself and enjoy the single life. it's no that bad.
