Someone at Cal Tech has made a chart relating music to SAT scores (http://musicthatmakesyoudumb.virgil.gr/). What do you think about it?

Kind of expected, but not completely accurate.

Outkast > Kanye?
Jack Jhonson > Sublime?!
Lifehouse > RATM?!

It's not the music that makes you dumb, it's stupid people listening to stupid music, smart people listening to good music. I don't listen to anything below 996. This graph is kinda biased too.

Edit: Not biased, sorry. I saw the stats and how they calculate it.

Thanks. It kind of surprises me that anyone would take this seriously. It's a school's average SAT score vs. the most frequently mentioned favorite music on the student's Facebook pages. There a so many faults that can be picked out here that it's not even useful to start. It's just a fun and interesting mash-up or sorts.

Of that I was totally aware, but, still, a lot of people don't understand the causation/correlation difference, and it's just depressing.

That said, with brokencyde there's a causal link. Your IQ drops a standard deviation for every 20 hours you listen to them.

In truth, Brand New fans are too busy thinking of Jesse Lacey's awesomeness to properly distribute their cognitive resources. In effect, their (= my) Lacey-Love leads to SAT bombing. Fact.
