Wow, I can't believe I get to be the first to respond to this. It sounds like more of the same shameless self-promotion by Tom, but I can't help but be excited. I found it interested that he's heard Plus-44 since he hasn't spoken with either Mark or Travis since the hiatus. I am impressed by his ability to move beyond the break-up when so many people thought he had simply thrown in the towel, though. I guess we'll see.

i feel as if he is doing so much talking about how great this album is going to be....it's going to bite him in the ass because now that he has said all of this 'great stuff' it is gonna make the haters want to hate on him even more now......i will admit i am really excited about it but i agree with what someone else said....he should kept a lot of those statements to himself and just let the music do the talking...

And most musicians are usually pretty modest when it comes to their own stuff because they don't want to sound like they are full of themselves. But Tom must have an agenda. Maybe he has a big fear of failure and he feels like he has to hype this way up in order to be moderately successful.
So him hyping this so much, he must have a reason. And if Macbeth and other people are jumping on the bandwagon to help support him, they must be part of the agenda. What is in store?

i can understand where everyone is coming from with their comments about tom hyping the shit out of this band/album (e.g. his references to the second coming of christ and people thinking god himself came down and wrote half of this music) and i too have my doubts but there's also something else to it...
having seen as many interviews as i have with tom and from what i've gathered from his personality from those interviews and everything else i know about him, i would have to think these comments are at least made half in jest. like someone else said, artists often claim that they are changing the face of music, etc. but are usually pretty modest about it. tom seems like the kind of guy who would brag (especially in this blatant manner) only if he was half-joking, at least.

well there is a person pretty closely connected to this site who i know has information. he does photographs for atticus and he use to be or still is a photographer for this site. i'd be interested in hearing a statement from him. as for me, i am not going to make any conclusions. tom is a smart man, he can hype anything and everything like a rockstar can. i plan to let the music to speak for itself. i would love tom delonge to responsible for a rock and roll revolution. we just don't know though.

I hated their childish antics. Maybe I am the only one. But that's the only part of Blink-182 that bothered me and I really loved BoxCar and their Self Title after they matured a bit.

I think it would be hilarious if it's one of those stupid "Christian" worship CDs with droning acoustic guitars and monotonous singing. I think all of his Mark and Tom bashing answers the question to the "indefinite hiatus." Looks like no more Blink.

All of you guys are missing the point. Think about it, we havn't even heard a THING from AAA yet, but i'll be that almost 90% of the people on ap.net are curious as hell to actually find out what it's going to sound like.
Remember when we first got to hear 'feeling this' and then we finally heard blink182 st and it was just completely amazing? Hopefully this is the same thing, but tom is just saying what's on our minds. You gotta love his ego :thumbsup:
yeah, Tom is his own bitch apparently.....but i have no doubt that this cd will rule. basically, anything a Blink member touches is golden, so i have no doubts that this wont be stellar.

I think it would be hilarious if it's one of those stupid "Christian" worship CDs with droning acoustic guitars and monotonous singing. He'd go from making his crowds jump up and down to charismatically raising their hands and falling over slain. Wouldn't that be a treat? Oh man... "Christianity" these days...

I love Blink as much as the next guy,
But Tom is REALLY sounding like a shmuck to me.
It's one thing to say the album will be awesome, it's another thing to put down Plus-44, and blink, and whatever other stuff he was talking shit about.
I dunno, I lost a lot of respect for him lately. I've loved all of his music so far, but wow does he sound like an ass.

With all of you bashing Angles and Airwaves this is for you. If you look at the logo that they are using for their band which is AVA. For some of you that didn't know this is the name of his Daughter. So anyways I can't imagin that this album is going to be crap since he is saying that it is based on his life. He's making it to explain situations that are going on in his life. Like he said. I'm guessing it's going to be great. Just wait and see................................ ........
