New Scream Trilogy?

Rumors are floating around that the original Scream writer, Kevin Williamson, is writing a new Scream trilogy for the Weinstein Co.

Eh....I've always said I wouldn't like a new Scream movie, let alone a new trilogy but I'll put myself on the fence with it since Williamson is (supposedly) writing. As the above person said though...If Craven isn't attached neither am I, although I would probably still rent it if the trailer caught my interest.

I'll be pissed, but I have a feeling this will most likely turn out like "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer" did. A complete teen-horror. Granted, there's a giant gap between Scream 1 and I Know What You Did Last Summer, but they were around the same time.

I like The Faculty and first Scream a lot because they rely on camp-value/homages. And I think the first half of I Know What You Did Last Summer is very well written. I was mostly joking that he breaks the topless 'rule' in horror movies.
