I want to see it in a theater.
Did anyone here go to these shows and how was the setlist and the crowd energy? Wasn't there like 2 billion people there or something? ;)

They always own the crowd. Billie Joe always has the crowd in the palm (http://www.physorg.com/newman/gfx/news/hand-left-palm.jpg) of his hand.

it really is amazing how huge they are right now. warning had mild success, i think it barely went platinum, if even at all. even though i love american idiot, i liked the old green day better when there wasnt a bunch of teeny boppers in love with them and they didnt wear make up.

I love that the same band I grew up to in middle school is the same band my 7th grade students are growing up to. My Dookie is their American Idiot.

Yeah I was there. The setlist was the same as they always do apparantly but it doesnt matter because it was amazing. The crown energy was unbeleivable. It was the most electric gig I've ever been to (partly because TBS and JEW did such a great job supporting) and there were pyros and fireworks and these cool confetti things which made the atmosphere incredible. It was like a giant party. Oh yeah and there was a whole shit load of people lol. I think it was 60,000 at each show so pretty big.
The DVD will be sweet! I'd love to see it at a theatre but I dont think that'll be happening here in the UK (nothing cool ever happens in the UK anymore. Except for that concert lol)

i would love to see this in a theater. i saw the preview at mtv.com and my heart almost stopped. they played to 65,000 people. the concert was just for them, btw. last time i saw green day live a few months ago i could honestly say it was the best day of my life, as crazy as it may sound.

my little brothers have been into green day since they were little, since i was since i was a kid. it's just amazing how they can reach out to young and old audiences like no band i've ever seen. i was at the concert sitting in front of a mom with her kids and next to a 40 year old couple, and both left the show saying "wow, that was one of the best concerts i've ever been to." and i can definitely agree. and btw, i wasn't too sold on american idiot, but when they played it live, there was so much energy and the crowd was singing along. that definitely swayed my opinion of it big time. songs like that are meant to be heard live.
