I finally was able to get that book that went along with Coheed's album today. does anyone else like it? I do but some parts of it make no sense and arent mentioned in the CD at all. i thought i'd open a disussion for it

I like Christopher Shy's artwork but sometimes the panels are so dark you can't tell what's going on.
but it did clear up the question of what "Ten Speed" was about

my gf got it last week but i'm too damn lazy to pick it up off the coffee table and read the whole thing. i flipped through it and it looks pretty cool. it just feels too long.

ok this isnt a spoiler though but this is what ten speed is about:

the writer needs a way to end the story, he heads off somewhere but has to walk cause his bike got stolen, ("great, the bastards stole the ten speed, who takes a piece of shit bicycle anyways..."). as hes walking he hears voices and then a demonic bike comes out of nowhere "what the hell are you?!" "what does it look like? im a fucking bicycle", ten speed tells the writer that he needs to kill ambellina (who is based off the writers girlfriend who cheated on him) to help end the story and to obtain peace with himself so he can be no longer reminded of the lying lies and dirty secrets of miss erica court. some dialougue between ten speed and the writer is in the song:
"so are you gonna kill her off?"
"no i love her character she stays'
"all love has done is got you in the position, i say kill her off!"
"yeah but you say plenty of things and hows that work...youre a bicylce"

i know it's not too long bc there's not much dialogue but there's just a lot of pages. it FEELS long.

this one covers more than a few songs, it's the whole album.

yeah I believe it wont take that long. sin city novels are like 140 and I can finish them in twenty minutes.

i can't believe some people here find it immature to read the comics. it's like how people who play Halo don't like Mario games cuz they don't have you blasting enemies heads off with a shotgun
