As seen on the Policia comp, Fall Out Boy is not a very good cover band. At all.

I really liked the Roxanne cover...it had a lot of energy...it may not have captured the feeling of the Police's version, but I still liked it a lot

i agree. i really liked the Roxanne cover. i don't think when a band covers a song that they have to do it exactly like the original. i think it's interesting when a band adds their own touch. however, it was pretty weird listening to Fall Out Boy cover Gorilla Biscuits.. i'm not sure if i liked it or not, but mostly that's because my computer is acting crappy so the song kept pausing, anyone know where i can download it?

Everyone always bitches that all these popular bands don't know their roots and all that shit, and when the bands actually cover the groups like Minor Threat and Gorilla Biscuits, the elitists bitch about it ("leave these songs alone" blah blah blah). It's a lose-lose situation...fuck everyone.

I still don't know why FOB decided they needed to harmonize on this.

They harmonized all the same places where the Gorilla Biscuits did on their original. I suppose that answers that one.

By harmonizing do you mean layering Patrick's vocals? Not actualy harmonies so much as production magic...
