Okay so I just got my license like a week and a half ago right. And last night I was supposed to go to my friend's house with a few other kids..but she lives like 45 minutes away so I was gonna follow one of my friends there but then something sketchy happened and he ended up going at a different time. But anyway, it's been raining here for like 2 days straight..like we've gotten probably 4 inches of rain so all the roads were flooded and crap but I was just like okay whatever I'm invincible I'll be fine.

I go to get on the highway and the ramp is just a huge puddle at one point and I couldn't avoid it so i just went through it..and it was wicked deep, like so deep that my whole car basically stopped when I tried to go through and I was like shiiiiiit. So I continue on the highway and there were trucks everywhere and I couldn't see anything and it was pouringgg and I was like what the hell did I get myself into.

Then I realize that my car was shaking when I was just going at a constant speed and if I accelerated then it was really shaking a lot. Sooo I pulled over to the side of the road and called my dad and he was like okay go try driving again so I did and this time it was shaking more and my stupid check engine light came on and I was like oh no. So then I was just kinda sitting on the side of the highway, in a storm, in the dark thinking to myself okay so some psychopath is gonna come kill me..sweet.

So then I somehow managed to get to the next exit and I had no idea where I was so I just kinda pulled over into some sketchy parking lot and sat there and waited for my friend to come pick me up. But seriously, a little girl..alone in a parking lot..in a storm..at night..just screams the plotline of some horror movie. It was awful :(

Damn, that sucks Christ. Did you find out what was wrong with your car? I've had that happen to me before where I hit a puddle (well, it was more like a creek overflowing over the road) and my car pretty much stopped. Fortunately my car was okay.

I love the fact that I drive a Bronco II because I car drive through just about anything. :) I never really have to worry about the water level being too high because my car sets up so high.

I was like still in Morristown..I got onto 287 south at the exit near the hospital. When I stopped I was in between the Harter Road exit and the Bernardsville one. It wasn't that sketchy of an area.

And yeah I drive a Jetta.

the first day i got my license i went with a friend to see thrice, thursday and coheed and it was raining hard and night too. that was like one of the first times i had taken the freeway.
ya next time you drive in the rain at night make sure a friends in the car with you.

The fucking lady tells me "Oh I'm sorry, we have a James (my dad), Maureen (mom) and Caitlin (sister) registered, but not Christine. I'm sorry, but we can't help you."

So I call my dad back and he has to call and register me. So then I call the fuckers back and they're like OH OKAY! Now we can help you! Oh but wait, there's intense flooding in your county, so it might be awhile.

..3 hours later the guy comes and changes my stupid tire for me.
