Video director Jon London (www.myspace.com/jlondon78) (Reggie And The Full Effect, Reel Big Fish, Hellogoodbye) informed me of something pretty cool. His brother, Paul London, is a pro wrestler in WWE and was the Tag Team Champion and Cruiserweight Champion recently. He just got the news that Paul is going to be a playable charachter in the new WWE Smackdown video game (http://ps2.ign.com/articles/655/655568p1.html). How rad is that!?

No way. The original NES game with The Amazon is the best wrestling game ever. You could bite people's faces. And the dude with the star for a face. Anyone remember playing with M.U.S.C.L.E.S.? Those little pink wrestler guys? Too bad this all became my life!

FOR REAL.
the royal rumble matches are INTENSE, but no mercy for n64 is just as fun cause of the ladder matches, the game was so simple but when you get 4 people playing it shit was off the chain.

I liked the N64 WCW games myself. (WCW/NWO Revenge etc)
I probably should have checked out the WWF games though.
I think the newer wrestling games are kind of...rediculous.

I used to be big into wrestling. I even went to Wrestlemania 17 when it came to my hometown of Houston. Yeah, it rocked. But now I dont care for wrestling, but I still love the games. Anyways, thats pretty awesome for the Jon Londons brother, nonetheless for Paul London. YAY for former/current wrestling geeks!

lol woah! I had no idea Jon London and Paul London were brothers. I've been watching Paul London since his days in ROH. He's really amazing, though i can't believe how little time he gets on TV. But it's very nice to hear that he's in the game, i've been hoping for this ever since i heard he was joining WWE.
how sweet would that be to play as yourself in a video game

His ROH stuff is nuts. I was so scared he would kill himself in some of those ladder/scaffold matches. His shirt even had the chant Please Don't Die that they crowd would chant when he started climbing up shit to jump on people. I think he'll start getting more WWE time soon. It comes and goes. Watch the Cruiserweight match on Velocity that's up on wwe.com It's got some good spots in it. Nowhere near as cool as some of the stuff we've seen him do. And yeah, having my brother's toy and now video game is blowing my mind up. It's awesome. Now I've gotta put him in a music video breaking people through tables and shit. That'd be great. He can be my Bruce Campbell.

I still play that game haha
Another vote for Wrestlemania 2000/No Mercy here. They were alot more strategic and less button-bashing than the current games.
And Paul London is the man, he's crazy. I wish there was more cruiserweight action in the WWE, that's where it's at. Ever since WCW folded there's been a gap in the market. Remember when you used to get insane ladder matches with Jung Dragons vs Three Count? I miss those days.
