Unfortunately none of those were really what I was looking for. I meant like, pop-rock with a bit of originality (not to sound bitter haha).

Thanks anyway though.

http://www.purevolume.com/newatlantic ("wire and stone", "cold hearted town")
http://www.purevolume.com/weatherbox ("trippin' the life fantastic", "the clearing")
http://www.purevolume.com/thehonorarytitle ("stuck at sea", "stay away")

these bands have direct ties to cartel, so hopefully they're closer to what you're looking for! will from cartel did guest vocals on "wire and stone" for new atlantic, and both weatherbox and the honorary title toured with them back in the day.

Yeah I've heard of Weatherbox before, they're good stuff. My brother is really into them. New Atlantic I remember listening to a while back and they were good. Good recs.

Check out Idle Vice. This is the band I roadie for. The first song they have up ("He Could Sure Use") is kinda mellow, but the other ones (ignore the terribly bad live recording, all of the actual songs are pro-quality) are pretty good.

Www.Myspace.com/IdleViceRox (http://www.Myspace.com/IdleViceRox) they have tons of other tracks up in full at LastFM if youl ike what you hear.
