Worst band tattoo ever.

I met some girl at Bottom of the Hill in San Fran that had an Underoath tattoo HUGE on her forearm.

I can't remember the exact lyric, but she misused the word "your" instead of "you're". (I think it might have said "Your almost gone and I'm ok." or something)

She showed it to me (it was only a few weeks old), and I was in absolute shock. There are a lot of bad band tattoos out there, but I think having a glaringly obvious grammatical error forever inked on your forearm is definitely the worst thing I've seen.

And, no, she can't correct the grammar with a touch-up. There's some solid fill-in stuff between all the letters, so there's no room to fix it.

Lastly, when asked about it by a guy in my band (I can't believe he had the balls to bring it up to her, I certainly didn't) she told him "Umm... well.... It's just like... It's like what it means to me, you know?".

Earth Crisis tattoo on cheeks is fucking awful.

Saw a Jimi Hendrix tribute on a dudes arm while waiting in line to get into the Propagandhi show and Jimi not only had a shaved head,full beard and sunglasses but he looked to be about 50 lbs heavier than he was in life. The artist who did the piece should've been shot and I felt sorry for the poor bastard who had this abomination on his arm.

How can you get something so permanent on your body when it comes to something that is so not permanent? I mean, I never imagined myself getting over the bands I was addicted to 4 years ago, but the only reason I ever go back to them now is for nostalgia's sake. If I ever did get a music related tattoo, it'd be more for the lyric or whatever rather than the band, I think .

i THINK she did do them herself, if i remember correctly from stalking her photo album on myspace. i hope she hasn't inflicted anyone else with her art.

even getting a lyric tattoo inspired by a flavor of the week pop-punk band is fine if those lyrics truly mean something to you. if you outgrow the band one day, and you can still find meaning in those lyrics, that's understandable. but tattooing the name or logo of a band on yourself is different. if she so happens to decide one day that she has gotten too old for this scene, she's going to be screwed. she would be better off covered in tattoo's that say things like "i'm the story at the bottom of this bottle and you're the pen" than having ATL's name and underwear tattooed on her foot. that one is going to be a lot more difficult to explain.

A few of us went with our friend to get his tattoo done (I'm not really a tattoo fan, but he was adament he wanted one) and as he handed the template to the tattoo artist I some how glanced down and noticed a grammatical error like that on it.
