You know, Straylight Run could actually be a pretty sweet band if only the members appreciated William Gibson or Neuromancer in the least, and maybe even peppered their lyrics with allusions to the novel or based some of their imagery or topics on Gibson's work in general.


Oh yeah, but they don't, and they're only marginally talented musicians (at best) who can't write a song to save their lives. Dang.

i love GAD but i wouldnt want straylight to be like them.... john(or someone better than the last guy) just needs to produce their next record and the band will be fine. the EP proves that IMO

I don't think Tell All Your Friends can be touched in my book. But as for TBS-postsplit or Straylight, I would have to go with Straylight by a mile. I just enjoy their stuff more than I enjoy WYWTB.

Straylight run is fucking amazing. Their new EP blew my fucking mind. The music video is going to be up within the nxt week. It's based around Orwells 1984, the song is their newly acclaimed hit Hands in the sky (Big shot). I Can't wait!!

I pick Straylight now, but I think it's safe to say that since the style of music TBS and Brand New play have gotten popular Tell all Your Friends is considered a clasic among fans.
