Which anberlin album is your favorite?

I loved all of these except New Surrender. I was seriously disapointed. Not that it was bad it was really hit or miss in comparison to the consistency they had on every other album.

I went with Cities though.

Cities. No question.

I love all their albums, but Cities was flawless in my opinion.

New Surrender was probably my least favorite, but I still love a good majority of the songs on that record.

between all of their first three albums they kept topping their previous work. Blueprints was a great debut, then Never Take Friendship Personal topped Blueprints, then the all-amazing work of Cities topped Never Take Friendship Personal. So my hope for New Surrender was built extremely high. Then New Surrender came out and that, to me, was easily their poorest effort to date.

theres only one song that i like on blueprints..and its my favorite song they have made. Naive Orleans. AMAZING. the acoustic version is win too.

All are very good. I think Cities just sets a stronger, more cohesive mood than the others. Dismantle. Repair. may be the best song they've written.

cities was the first album i heard by them,
and i was blown away by their musicianship and stephen's vocals.
my friend told me to listen to never take friendship personal though,
so i took that advice and did so.
fucking SPECTACULAR.
ntfp is one of the most amazingly put together albums i have ever heard.
every song is perfection,
with my favorite definitely being the feel good drag (which is far better than the rerecorded version on new surrender).
i must say though,
cities is still one of my favorite cds in general,
and new surrender is also phenomenal.
but definitely,
never take friendship personal, for the win.

its so versitile with different sounds and lyrically is so fuckin good
cities is good, it got me into the band but i think its definatly dont think its flawless like alot of people on this site think
its got some really good songs and then some pretty bad ones that sound really similar to eachother

while you can NEVER go wrong with listening to any of anberlin's songs i would have to say cities is the best by far. a few songs on the other albums stick out to me as amazing but my favorite album as a whole is definitely cities.

I'll admit that Cities is probably the best album they've put out. However, I can't listen to Blueprints for the Black Market without getting a lump in my throat. Such a spectacular debut and SO many memories that go with it for me. That's why it's easily my favorite.

Shocked seeing NS winning this poll. It's a great album but I didn't expect it to be winning. I went with NTFP cause it's probably my favorite, but I think Cities is their best album overall. It's their masterpiece work so far. We'll see what happens in the future...
