Evan of Amity (http://www.purevolume.com/amity) sent us this message regarding The Militia Group's Man Alive (http://www.purevolume.com/manalive):

Hey guys and guyettes. Last night we played a show in Azusa with our neighbors, Leftover. There was a band there from Israel called Man Alive. Yes, that\'s right. Israel. Anyhoo, we were the last two bands of the night, and being a Thursday night, there was nobody there to begin with. So needless to say, by the time they went on, the only people in the audience were us, leftover, and about 3 or 4 friends and girlfriends who rode with the two bands to the show. Man Alive was phenomenal! They sound a little like Bad Religion, Face to Face, or any of those old school punk bands we all grew up with. I thought it was awesome to see a band bringing back that style of music. Despite the complete lack of audience, they still gave their performance 110% and blew away everyone watching. I haven\'t seen a band who put that much heart into their music in a long time. So if you find out that they\'re playing a show in your area, please go check them out and support them if you like them.! Bands like them are becoming very rare these days and it takes a lot of balls to travel halfway across the globe to play for 10 people.

I totally agree with you dude. I booked them in San Antonio, TX on their current tour and I think there were like 15 people watching when they went on. It's sad because theyre so good. Well if anyone from San Antonio is reading this I'm working on booking them again on October 30 so please try and make it out. It will be at The White Rabbit.

Yea! I saw them in Moore, OK with Umbrellas and there was about four kids watching their set and they BLEW ME AWAY. We went to Waffle House with them afterwards and they are awesome guys. Seriously, if you haven't heard/seen this band- GET ON IT!

Their CD is great; I love it. Go to their pureVOLUME (http://www.purevolume.com/manalive) page and listen to "Give Me a Sign" and tell me you're not singing along by the first chorus. The harmonies are godly.

i listened to them on purevolume and all i hear is midtown / jamie woolford.

edit: the breakdown in "give me a sign" at about 1:40 nearly put me to sleep.

so true...these guys played a basement show for us for no money...only about 15 people watching them and they were just having a blast and talking about how much they love that kind of thing.

i'm not doubting what they are about, but comparing them to bad religion is WAY off.
