Ian has reported in to us about Thrice (http://www.thrice.net/)'s set at UC Irvine:

Last night at the Thrice Show at UC Irvine, Dustin performed "Stare at the Sun" accoustic, accompanied by 4 members of the UC Irvine Orchestra. It was amazing to say the least. Overall, their playlist was almost identical to what you had posted the other day. As a side note, Spencer from Underoath said they will begin recording their new album next month.

i do have to say, that was the most amazing show i have ever been too. as amazing as thrice was, i still can not get over Underoath. i've seen em like 10 times and at this show i was just blown away AGAIN. the lighting was sooooo good too, it added so much to the whole instensity of the night. cant wait for the Hollywood show of this tour on Nov 21st!!

it wasn't the UC Irvine orchestra, it was the USC string quartet.

it wasn't the UC Irvine orchestra, it was the USC string quartet.

Whoa whoa. Slow down there.

Stare at the Sun is one of the best acoustic songs I've ever heard.

As good as the lighting was, I wasn't blown away like I expected. I had never seen uOATH live, so I was excited but I was somewhat dissapointed that you couldn't hear Aaron's singing. I dunno if it was just because of where I was standing. ANd Thrice was sooo very good.
Haha, I had already posted about this, and now it's being posted as news.

yeah, what a great time for music. thrice next week and underoath is recording next month. if anyone watched their appearance on headbanger's ball (lol) brian fair from shadows fall asked them when they aimed to have the record released and they said january, not the spring as i had originally heard.

which is completely awesome...
