Here is my review of the show because I feel like posting it.....

Veda played a great set, as I guessed about 4 other people in the crowd cared.

I must say I was almost more excited to see The Bled than any other band, already seeing Thrice twice and not the biggest fan of Underoath's new material. Well they didnt disappoint me. The Bled didnt need any lights or fancy background music, they straight up just kick your teeth down your throat. Awesome performance.

All I have heard forever is how incredible Underoath's live show is.....maybe they had an off night. It was full of energy and passion, but half the time instead of hearing vocals you heard breathing and mumbling. The fatass that plays the synth needs to be shot. Underoath over did the lights too, 10 times they about blinded thousands of people at once and most of the time you couldnt see the band because of the lights. Im sure Underoath would be a better experience at a smaller venue also. I guess I was expecting more, but Underoath were showed up by The Bled in my opinion.

Thrice of course well....they're Thrice. One gripe, not one song from Identity Crisis. Ouch. After a one more song chant of course Dustin returned with acoustic guitar in hand, "Stare At The Sun", then the rest of boys joined him for "To Awake And Avenge The Dead". You really cant say much except for Dustin, Teppei, Riley and Ed put on an amazing show each time they step up there. This being the third time I have seen them, it was the best. Thrice had the same lights as Underoath but only at a couple points were blinding and added more to the show than just making you have to cover your eyes.

One more note, after hearing about Underoath "preaching" I was hoping it would be limited. Well they had a couple background tracks playing about seeing a cross and the satan has been defeated and all that crap. That was the annoying part, when they just said they thank Jesus Christ, well I can handle that but dont bible push, thank you.

Obviously if you get a chance to see this show, do it.

One more side note, The Bled had this bit to say...."after we're done you can head over to our merch table and talk to our merch guy ----- (didnt catch the name), he's not afraid of anything, he's had a gun in his mouth." Then went straight into a song, nice.

They only played four songs of Found In The Flood. The setlist was this.....

Hotel Coral Essex
Guttershark
My Assasin
Red Wedding
I Never Met Another Gemini
Ruth Buzzi Better Watch Her Back
You Know Who's Seatbelt

Not in that order, and also one more song from Found In The Flood that I cant remember.

I only have the EP so all I can tell you is that they played two songs off the EP.

okay good, they sticked to the better songs from Found In The Flood. And that's horrible that Thrice didn't play anything from Identity Crisis... last time I saw them they played songs from only Identity Crisis/ Illusion of Safety.

I was hoping for at least one song off Identity Crisis, oh well.

But yes, The Bled had a damn near perfect setlist.

Riley note....you could barely see him on stage. It was just darkness around him. He did throw a broken stick straight up in the air and then it landed on him, that was kickass.

It doesnt upset me. Guess what, im Christian and go to church on Sunday's when I dont work. But I dont believe in putting those beliefs in music to the point of making your fans who dont feel the same uncomfortable. Its just my opinon on it and I think its overdone, to each his own.

Nice show of your Christianity by saying their synth player who rocks out "needs to be shot." Real classy comment. I respect Underoath for staying behind what they believe in and not caring if it antagonizes non-believers.

Just because im Christian doesnt mean I have to believe in everything Underoath and other religious extremists believe in do I? I didnt think so.

He is useless to the band and well....needs to be shot. He isnt rocking out, he is just wasting oxygen.

I respect the band and their beliefs, but that doesnt mean I cant speak out about how they put their beliefs out there in a society today where a thing such as religion is fuled by strong passion and sometimes hate.

Say what you want, but to me thanking Jesus Christ during a rock concert is the same thing as a band passing out PETA flyers.

It's not in their music... I see one song where you can REALLY see that their Christians...

but you know what? It's their music.

I don't think they shove the bible down people's throats, I thought they had the same philosophy as Anberlin...

hahah you are so gay and blind if you can only really see it in one song. Also what's wrong with christians "shoving bible down your throats" it's their music if you don't like it don't listen to it.

Yea, if you're Christian, and believe in God, and go to Church, you don't say someone needs to be shot...

everyone's important. and I think he's important in Underoath too, I don't see it being the same without the synths.

No its not in the actual songs, but before they took the stage a background track played about leading a new generation to a cross. Then in the middle of the set another background track was played about telling Satan he has been defeated and it repeated it over and over.

Was their set awesome? Yes. Im just saying how it bothers me that I saw this on a Friday night, I can wait until Sunday to go to church and hear and believe what I want to. To me it just bothers me that a band that I do enjoy does the little things such as this to push it over the edge I think. I had no problem in the middle of the set when they said they give everything they do up to Jesus Christ, a simple thank you is okay but what gets me is the background crap they had playing.

I dont see how you think its possible to define a religion to me.......does he honestly need to be shot, no. Should he be on the stage though, not at all.

Thats all im trying to say, its my opinion with my reasons, I know not too many will go along with it. Main thing to remember is that I do enjoy Underoath.

I dunno I saw some lights and they looked terrible. Way too many, and so many different colors. Just nuts.

Highbeams are a very good term to use. Thrice used many of the same lights, but they didnt use them as many times, not as bright and better timed also.

Underoath did play a good show but it just wasnt the amazing spectacle that everyone always tells me it is. They had just as much energy as other bands do, like I said I think The Bled put on a better show. Didnt jump around as much but they played their instruments better and sounded much better.

i think when i went, it was one of the bleds weaker shows. but all other times i've seen the bled it was in a more intimate venue and longer set list. they were still awesome but i've seen them play better

This is exactly how I felt when I saw Underoath with Coheed. The energy is there, it was well intentioned, but Aaron just doesn't pull off drumming and singing very well, which I know is an extremely hard thing to do, so I applaud him for the effort. In other news, I can't fucking wait to see Thrice, one of the elite live bands in the music industry period.

haha in a nicer way.. i will say that trevor is right. just look at their first two cd's. songs against abortion and so on. i think its awesome that bands sing about stuff they really believe it. its risky singing about that stuff because people are so against religious themes in this music scene it seems.. and if a band doesn't give a crap and they just want to sing about what they feel and love.. they are real.
