To be honest, I only own two Wii games (Rockband and Twilight Princess). Most of the time I waste on the Wii is via games bought on the Wii shop channel.

I just got a Wii a week ago. I haven't been into gaming since last gen and this is my first new system since the PS2. I'm loving the shit out of Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Call of Duty World at War, and Resident Evil 4. I'd never played RE4 before even though I've always wanted to and it's easily my favorite game I've ever played and I can't imagine playing it without the Wii remote.

I'm not buying any new games until I finish the RE4 and COD:WAW campaigns but next on my list are Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Metroid Prime 3 Corruption. I can't choose which to get first. :-(

Super Mario Galaxy... If you liked 64, you'll love this. Easily the best exclusive title.
Mario Kart Wii... This is a blast once you get used to the wheel, also one of the few games with decent online play.
Resident Evil 4... Just one of the best games in recent memory, made better.

Brawl is great, but I can't stand playing it with anything other than the Gamecube controller... still, the best multiplayer game with friends. Twilight Princess and Okami are worth checking out as well.

I've recently discovered how great the Virtual Console is as well. Revisiting classics if you no longer have a working console, or just playing games you missed out on. I believe NES and SNES games are $5 and $8, respectively.

Edit: Might also want to look into Gamecube games, especially if you didn't have one, they have some great collections. I picked up the Mega Man Anniversary Collection for $20. Mega Man 1-8 and some other games as well. Cheaper than hitting up the virtual channel sometimes.
