I can't believe my graduation from college iis in less than 2 months. Feels like I just got here and now I have to start looking for jobs and such. Anyone else in the same boat?

Scary, yes. I just graduated in December and have already found a job, one that pays well at that. One of the biggest fears post-graduation is where the hell will I find a job, in my opinion.

Thinking about graduating always scares me. I am starting practicum next semester and that is even starting to freak me out.
Congrats though!
i felt the same way when i was about to graduate.
i suddenly realised that i hadnt even thought for one second what i would do once i finished, and that was scary. that id spent three years at uni without having any clue where it would get me.
when i did finish i couldnt find a job with the degree i had and so i ended up bumming around for a year and my shitty job working fruit and veg until finally i got my shit together and pro-actively started looking for some sort of career. i ended up finding a job in the shipping industry which has absolutely nothing to do with what i studied and now i find myself studying again in order to further my career within the industry.
i hope you're able to find a job with the degree you're getting :-)

I graduate this year, and I'm not sure what I want to do after. I want to go to grad school at some point, but right now I'm so burnt out I don't think I could handle it right away. Probably just gonna lay low for awhile.

I hear ya. Especially the lack of jobs available...I have a tough enough time just getting interviews, and it's for jobs I don't even want in the first place.

Same I graduate in May. I'm interning at Saxbys Coffee main office, I hope I get a job from that. If not might work at the Troc in Philly. I wish I could tour with a band one last time, but have loans to pay, unless it is like Blink 182 or Foo Fighters. Then maybe I will make a good amount, but that won't happen.

I'm graduating as well. I was supposed to finish in three years, but freaked out and went ahead and stayed this semester. And have no plans for post-grad work. I was accepted to a couple grad programs, but I've decided I can't do more school, not quite yet. But there are NO jobs for my major! Everything is either pharmaceutical/medical sales (boring as fuck), unpaid internships or finance jobs.

I'm currently in my second year and I expected to graduate in 2011, but turns out that I'm able to graduate next year. That kinda scares me...a lot. I know I won't be able to get a job without going to grad school and then possibly even med school, so I'm gonna be headed there right after undergrad. I don't think I can take any more school right now. I had planned to attend grad school later on in life, but I guess I'll just have to go right after.

I'll be graduating from college next week, and I'm still trying to process it all. I've been interning for The CW Bay Area for the past two semesters, and I have obtained a lot of great experience. Unfortunately, I know I won't be getting a job from it. Also, I'm an English major and basically I'm screwed. lol.
It's really scary right now, especially considering the whole job market and crappy economy. With all the unemployment leading to less positions available and more competition, it's daunting to think about that. I feel sorry for a lot of us college graduates because it's like where will we turn to? Even those usual summer jobs in retail aren't as abundant, anymore. I know a bunch of people who have graduated last year and are still looking for jobs and many others settling for part time jobs at the moment.
Grad school is definitely an option, but not something I want to go into immediately after I graduate. Maybe sometime down the road. Plus, rising tuition fees aren't making that option anymore appealing.
I think I'll just take any job that I can for the time being to earn some income, then figure out what I really want to do.
I know that I want to do something related to media, entertainment, and music, but I just have to figure out how to get there. In an ideal world, I'd love to be a music supervisor, but I know it's a bit of a stretch. I'm considering going into law school, and perhaps studying entertainment law/Intellectual Property. But, I know even going into law school doesn't guarantee that I'll get a job.
Just for now, I really just need to take the time and consider what I want to do for the rest of my life. On one hand, I have to be practical and realize my limitations, but, on the other hand, I'm determined to fulfill my dreams of finding a job that I love in a field that interests me.
*sigh*... the only thing we could really do right now is just stay persistent and optimistic, I guess, even with all the shit around us. There's nothing more we can do...really.
To the Class of 2010...good luck! (I sincerely mean that)

I can't believe I'm a college graduate. It's awesome and scary and fun and sad and everything, all at the same time. But I can honestly say my life would be completely different without these four years. Congrats to everyone who feels the same!
