I'm going to be interviewing Relient K this Tuesday here in Atlanta. Some of you have already posted your questions, if you missed the previous thread, post your questions in there, I'll try to get as many answered as possible.

On the date of their tour in Des moines, Iowa, ask them how many people they expect to show up because it is the same day as the Saves The Day/ Senses Fail tour, and Bright Eyes is in town...
Not a question but just saying...
Their next full length album will blow them up, I guarantee it. Over the past year, I've heard more and more people hear about this band, and once their next album is released I predict it will be huge.
Where do they get their name.. and if they could tour with any two bands, ever, in time, who?

Will their EP be available separately from MMHMM, or do you have to buy both like the Christmas album and Two Lefts?

I've been a fan of theirs for a few years and they'vre really matured from the days of Sadie Hawkins Dance, although i still love that song. How do they feel about their new found fame, and the legions of mtv watching fans that accompany that fame?

this album has already blown them up. they were as big as they could get in the christian market...so now they're taking over mainstream as well.

Why do they have 3 guitarists?
So that live Matt can play the keys without having to sacrafice one of the guitar parts.

Oh yeah, and ask if any of them (Matt T. in particular) have ever had any professional vocal training. It's always interesting to find out, and especially with a band that has some great vocal harmonies (the acapella cover they did of Auld Lang Syne).
how do they feel about jews taking over the world?

you know, i've never thought about that, but Plymouth Reliants were 'K-Cars', meaning they were built on the Dodge 'K' platform. very interesting.

I hope their response makes reference to about 1942. I mean, they can make fun of jews because they are christian punk, and lets face it, dispite what we would all like to think, the jews hate everything christian anyways, so alienating them is ok.
now what i want to know is if their record went gold to the mass public, did it go frankensense to the christian music scene?

Ask them what their next single is going to be.

ask them if they have any tours lined up after they get off tour with mxpx
I'd like to know about their name too..
In their interview on Launch they explain it. It was Matt Hoopes' old car, and they used to make fun of him for it. They thought "Reliant K" would be a copyright infringement, so they changed the 'a' to an 'e'. Matt T also makes a joke about calling the band "Relient Que" to make use of his Spanish education, but I'm fairly sure that was just a joke and they never went by that :p

ill bet there will be more at the RK/MxPx show.
