and as much as it hurts for me to post this, Eklund beat TSN to Brad Richards last year, and it's fun to see what he comes up with. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/

JBouw to NJ (e59843953)
Havelid fills in your J-Bo. Devils do nothing today, unless it's Guerin.IMO
xbrokendownx
03/04/09, 06:08 AM
honestly if we get guerin ill be pissed
That's really all I see them doing, but I think they should stand pat. With Marty back, they are prime for a huge run.
Best time of the year!
I think July 1 is more exciting. Way more action lol. I just cant wait for the first one to go through, hopefully it opens the floodgates.
It's close, but for me, it's number one, because the season is still on, especially during the playoff stretch.

jordan staal is terrible? news to me
Jordachejeans91
03/04/09, 06:42 AM
i should have added IMO, but it just looks like he is to slow for the game sometimes, and cant catch up with the speed, then other times he's flying by people controlling the puck (like how he's been playing recently)

Yeah, they're doing a 3 hour show which will be good but I really liked Tradecentre last year. I guess its better this way because I have TSN on the computer and I'll have NHL Live on TV.

He played very well with Regehr when he was in Calgary before so I like the deal for them.
To follow up on the proposed Jokinen-to-Calgary deal: Adrian Aucoin is now reported to be heading to Phoenix as part of the deal.

This Jokinen trade is another great move for Calgary. Prust is nothing more than a fourth liner and the 1st rounder will likely be a low first round pick. I think Lombardi has lots of upside but it's worth losing him if it means bringing in Jokinen.

No I'm not necessarily talking about numbers last 2-3 years on the whole. I'm talking about the last 20 games of the season or so. The year the Pens lost to the Sens in the playoffs he went a good 16 games or so without a goal getting substanial PP time and playing with Sid. He's just not built to play 82 games anymore. Lashoff's only still considered a top prospect because he was a first round pick. He was given plenty of chances to make the team full-time but he never played very well with the big club. He's always played well in Providence, just hasn't been able to turn that AHL success in NHL success.

A first round playoff exit and letting Bouwmeester walk for nothing should be grounds for firing Martin. The East is weak, the Panthers would still make the playoffs with whatever package they get in return.
