...or at least better music than what they might be getting into otherwise. They're 12 and 10, so I don't think it would make sense to start them on Fugazi or Hot Water Music or the Lawrence Arms' repeated alcohol references. I tried to stick to fairly upbeat stuff, as well as tried to keep the profanity down, they hear enough of that from me.

my little sister was in 5th grade when i turned her on to murder by death, bad religion, and nofx.

now shes a 13 year old badass with scene points galore.

and by scene points i mean she calls me an emo pussy when i throw on some old ataris stuff.

id do bad religion first because all of the three part harmonies and quality musicianship makes it a great step in the right direction.

for like a birthday buy them bad religions "all ages" and i bought my sister "hello rockview" by less than jake on the same day.
