One of the best books I've ever read. It's a pain in the ass to learn Nasdat just to read it, but it's not too bad. Although for someone of your intelligence, good luck making it past page six.

I wish that was something that I got to read in school... Instead I'm stuck with having to read to Kill A Mockingbird... There is a clockwork orange poster in my English class and when I asked my teacher if we could read it she looked at me like I was insane.

I think it's boring... unless it happens to get a shit load better in the second half. I only finished the first part so far. And I no a lot of people that really don't like it.

It's sad you can't enjoy such a fabulously written book that is also a very easy read. It's like seventh grade reading level.

But, to each their own.

I never said I had troubles reading it... It is an easy read. I just find it to be boring... I'm not sure if it might be because I'm being forced to read it or not. I tend to dislike things a lot more when I'm forced to do them. I'm really only halfway done though... So, does it get any better?

Book is easily one of the best I've ever read and the movie was equally awesome.

Kikskrumme
03/04/07, 04:19 AM
it don't like that book
i mean, i thought the theory was quite interesting, but then it was only mentioned that it's oh so wrong to take the right to make your own decisions away from a person maybe four times and the matter wasn't even discussed any further. the rest of the book are mainly the thoughts of the main character, which is pretty boring. i was expecting some deep psychological stuff, but nooo. 'oh, beat up that guy, kill those, oh there is blood, this is fun, what am i gonna do next'
stupid.
ok, so maybe it's better in english because it happens a lot that books lose meaning after being translated in other languages but yeah. ^my opinion.

I had a major obsession with the film and book when I was like 15. I even dressed up as Alex for Halloween one year. This thread reminds me that I want to re-read it at some point.

Well, this wasn't very scary at all. I always thought it was kind of a scary movie because of people's comments. Weird.

Anyway, I enjoyed it.

I absolutely loved both the book and film. I've read the book twice. It's a great read, but some people have issues getting past the slang that the protagonist speaks in. It's easy to pick up on what he's talking about though.
