Sadly I think people too often show how little they know or understand bands when they slap a label on them. They usually hear somewher and then reuse it I think.

I wanted to like this cd but i can't. It just seems all over the place. The first song sounds like a linkin park song. This and Finch are the biggest disapointments of the year to me. I wish I previewed it before I purchsed it, but i wanted to be surprised. Boy was I surprised, anyhow at least the Classic Case cd was good.

i couldnt make a decision on it until i listened probably 10 times, i really enjoyed it the first times i listened, but you get something new each time which has made it easily album of the year, if not last few years, for me

Well, if I recall, Artist in the Ambulance got 2 stars for basically rocking too hard...to sum up the lackluster review. Rolling Stone has become the laughing stock of music news and reviews. Just a total hipster rag, in my opinion. I try to avoid reading it as much as possible.

i would have maybe given it a 3, that album felt rushed to me, some songs were great others clumped together and brought nothing new. i still enjoyed the album, just not as much as i had IC, IOS, and now vheissu

when it first came out it was definitely my favorite, i just started to notice a lot of things sounding similar, i didnt really like the "poppier" songs either.

Right now I'm not playing anything; but I just got my Dragon Warrior 8 demo in the mail so I might start that. I'm in the middle of moving so all of my games are packed up, except my DS and Trauma Center. :)

these are my favorite theyve had, they make me want to be a better writer and learn more haha, im most impressed with the lyrics on "of dust and nations", "atlantic", and i really like them on "stand and feel your worth" (im not sure if thats the song title) its just really cool, you feel like you know dustin because of the lyrics, thats how i feel anyway...i just felt like i could relate to them a lot more this time around

ya i get what you mean, i think this album is incredible depending on when you are ready to hear something like this...if you appreciate bands like isis, damien rice, deftones (white pony), cave in, not saying you dont...but i think this album goes to another level, because they are able to play similar styles to those bands, but mainstream it, and make more accesible. i think they do it with flying colors and i think this album got into my hands at the perfect time, when those types of bands were dominating what i listen to, i also think in a few months you will still be listening to vheissu, or may stumble upon it again and it will hit you in a different way. i definitely see and respect all your points, because it is NOT for everyone, but by judging what youve enjoyed in the past i think in the long run you will love vheissu haha i sound like im preaching, thats just what this album has done to me i guess.
