"Hello Mousketeers,
With our mousey tails between our legs, we leave for an extended
touring schedule early today. "Why so glum, chum" you ask? We're just
pulling your mousket-ears, we're not glum at all. We are, however,
another in a long list of bands disallowed to play the Mouse's Houses
Of Blues. Chalk it up to our profound lyrical hatred. Or something
like that. We're not exactly sure why we're not permitted to play the
Disney venues to be quite honest, but I, for one, will be destroying
my DVD copy of Darby O'Gill And The Little People in protest of this
flagrant bias against us, Disney-loving misanthropists that we are.
Take that, Walt! Have at you, Eisner! That'll teach 'em. Funny, both
Satyricon and Slayer were permitted to play so we've been told.
I'm willing to bet cold cash not one member of either of the
aforementioned bands can sing even one of any of the numbers from The
Little Mermaid soundtrack. One of our members can. Just saying...
As the Mouse so decrees, your friendly neighborhood Huluds will not
be playing either House Of Blues show on Disney property, namely
Anaheim, CA on March 27th or Orlando, FL on April 10th. And the
children are safe yet another day; Slayer, sticklers for proprieties
and all.
Regarding shows we are playing, check the tour dates listed on
our My Space page as we will be playing some off dates from the NFG
tour. If the full tour isn't playing your town, make sure we're not
stopping by on our own.
We should get going. Tour beckons and we don't want to keep anyone in
Abilene, TX waiting- providing people actually live in Abilene, TX.
Please don't take offense if you do, we've just never heard of
your what we are certain is a lovely city. We'll find out soon enough.
Come have a mosh with Shai Hulud, Last House On The Left, and our
favorite Sith Lords, Antagonist in Abilene on March 6th. Take us to
your leader. And your record and comic book shops."

Are tickets really selling out? I'm planning on going May 6th and 7th, but never thought this would sell out? When the Easy Core Tour came through St. Louis, it was at a smaller venue than this and it didn't even sell out.

I'm going to the Hometown show in Fort Lauderdale on April 13th, it's going to be crazy. The Philly show sold out because its on a Saturday. Every tour sells out on a saturday cause all the High School kids go. I go to concerts regardless of school lol, but their hometown show might not even sell out because its on a Monday.

yeaa at the Senses Fail show (saints and sinners) there was signs everywhere about no moshing or crowd surfing..but they didnt stop anyone. The camera rule sucks though.

Haha, that sucks. But, I think I'm just going to go to the ticketmaster at the mall and get them to avoid anything like that.
The other thing that sucks, for me anyways, is that they walk around serving drinks. I came home from the Dropkick Murphy's/H2O show covered in beer that was either thrown at me or spilled from the balcony above me.

Well, they probably weren't at that show. But the Dropkick Murphy's are different. I mean come on, practically the whole place was drinking. They had workers walking around with boxes full of beers on their heads selling them to people.
And yes, Square One does have a ticketmaster.

40 minutes would be the minimum i'd like to see them play. i was hoping for 45-50. my show is tonight so if anyone can confirm at least how long they played last night and also a set list if possible, that would really help in my decision. i would hate to miss Bayside, but seeing as they aren't headlining and tickets are more expensive than if they were, it makes it a tougher decision.

Yes! I'm really happy Truck Stop Blues is in there. I do wish they'd replace Don't You Forget About Me with Glory of Love though. And throw in At Least I'm Known For Something and 3rd and Long. It is NFG though, so you can most likely count on them switching it up a little bit every now and then.

Nice set.My only complaints:Replace Something I Call Personality with Forget My Name.DYFAM wouldn't be my choice for a cover song.Kiss Me or The Glory Of Love would be better. And throw Tangled Up in there somewhere!Easily one of my favorites off the new album.
But I'm really looking forward to the show either way.SYG or Bayside set lists anyone?
Really? Something I call personality not in a set? It's almost a live staple for how it gets crowds off. I don't think they'd ever lose a song like that for mid-tempo song. Unless the tour is showcasing their softer side.

are you aware of the fact to get from long island to bamboozle it takes about 3 hours(depending on traffic), plus the money it will cost to get tickets, drive there, stay in a hotel, buy food, and any additional expenses would probably be roughly around $500, plus in order to even see the band you want you have to stand in a ridiculous mass of people. I still think it is ridiculous that bamboozle prevents a ton of tours, inlcuding the NFG one, from playing NY. It's a lot easier for people to shell out $30 than $500.

The crowd was INSANE... all of the bands got great responses (even Shai Hulud had some kids in the pit, I didn't see any at the Avalon show) and so the energy onstage was way up. Amazing show.
Edit: I don't know if they've been doing this at all the shows or not (or if they're going to be), but before Intro/MFOY, Chad announced they were filming the last song(s) and they're going to post it online at some point.

Although I'm not a big fan of Don't You Forget About Me, apparently Anthony comes out for this song?
And I understand why they don't like playing too many songs off Coming Home, but I don't get the lack of Tip of the Iceberg. Dig My Own Grave would DEFINITELY be amazing live. Anyone know if they've EVER played it?

I haven't been to many venues outside of Cleveland but I think it's awesome your saying the Cleveland HOB is the best. I guess since it's one of the only venues I go to I don't notice the quality of it. My favorite indoor venue is the Grog Shop and I absolutely adore the Plain Dealer Pavillion for outdoor shows.

Yea the Cleveland HOB is my favorite venue too. Its big enough to have a bunch of people and a loud crowd but its small enough so you are close to the band playing. Its really nice too. not to make you feel worse, but this was a pretty awesome set.
you bet your ass! i live in Pittsburgh but the Cleveland HOB is the best venue i've ever been to...and i've been to venues in memphis, houston, columbus, new orleans, pittsburgh, baton rouge...NOTHING tops the Cleveland HOB in terms of sound and the way it is set up, with bars upstairs and seating for old head alchoholics like me and a good floor set up for those that can still mosh without throwing their back out. i was just there for the LTJ show. i can't wait, this will be my...i don't know...16th NFG show? i've been catching them live every opportunity i get since i first saw them in 2000.
nice man! yea HOB is pretty legit, i have been there a few times now. this is my 5th or 6th time seeing NFG. my buddy i am going with is up there with you. he has seen them almost 20 times by now. he even got to play Hit Or Miss with them once too, now that was a great show! i will prob unknowingly bump into you getting a drink during the show. it will be a great time.

there's most always time/distance clauses written into contracts for big festivals like Bamboozle. It's usually a 30-60 day no play within a 60 or so mile radius.
that's so weird.

Im going to fucking Breckenridge with my school. My teacher originally told me it was the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th but when I give her my papers to sign up a few days ago, she tells me it's the 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Gay, right?

Yea the Cleveland HOB is my favorite venue too. Its big enough to have a bunch of people and a loud crowd but its small enough so you are close to the band playing. Its really nice too. The grog shop is cool too but I like the HOB a lot better. Were you at the last show NFG played at the Cleveland HOB with Cartel and The Early November?
Nope, I was probably still living in Louisiana at that point (i lived in Baton Rouge from 2006-2008), but I did see NFG at the Cleveland HOB when they played with Reggie & the Full Effect & Eisley back in 2005...rediculously good show, they played a 26 song set

may 5 show in indy has a meet and greet at hot topic earlier in the day.
one of the workers told me yesterday there's gonna be about 200 shirts sold and you get a bracelet with it. Then with that bracelet you can get into the meet and greet. they said more details are going to come out.
may 5 just keeps getting better and better.

I usually try, and I'm planning on it there too. No guarantees, though, cause I'm going with a couple people and I don't think I have to drive, so there's no guarantee I'll even remember being at the show, let alone a setlist, haha.

There is a very good chance the set list will change because Bayside don't actually have one, they basicaly play what the feel like and also take suggestions from the crowd the last three songs or so.
