I wonder if they'll do another single/video? Three releases is pretty good for an up and coming band. Side One seems to have deep pockets but I wonder if they'll be willing to fork over anymore money or just wait for the next ablum which will probably have some major label backing....

AP_Punk

1930 is one of my favorite songs ever.

But I wish you knew her now,
she’s a better side of me now,
and I’m doing the best I can,
its what you wanted,
and I sing like you were there
and I knew it was just how you smile
Mary you looked just like
it was 1930 that night
If I recall the last thing you said to me,
before we broke up, before it took you from me,
and you said I love you more than the stars in the sky
but your aliveness just gets me tonight

...some of its lyrics are just...perfect.

Members of The International Noise Conspiracy, circa '94. That's the only good album they have, after it the lead singer left and the band turned into a shitty indie rock/pop band before breaking up in 2001. One of my all time favorite cd's, easily in my top 10.

It's the Under the Influence Serious from Vinyl Collective. If you haven't heard about it yet...

Take a look for yourself./ (http://www.vinylcollective.com/under-the-influence-series/) It's pretty rad. It's a series of split seven-inches wherein two bands cover one song a piece by an artist who influenced them.

The Gaslight Anthem is set to do their split with American Steel. But I'd recommend taking a gander at the already-released ones if you haven't already...

mtv live is a (really, really bad) daily show on mtv canada. it's an almost-TRL, with a live audience, where a couple of hosts do shtick for half an hour. most of the show is the hosts going over some weird/dumb news stories and pre-recorded comedy bits. they usually have at least one celebrity type on for an interview and a musical guest at the end. they have a couple of bands in every week or so, and they play 3 songs, the first of which is aired on the show. the rest go up online and are used in later episodes of the show. it's taped in a theatre, so basically what happens is when you get a ticket for gaslight's appearance, the mtv people seat you in the audience for the show, and then they clear all the seats away and move everyone to the stage for the performance at the end. it's kind of brutal to sit through the taping, but it's kind of a cool space to see people play.

mad excited for tomorrow and saturday!
i went to the mtv thing. they did the 59 sound, great expectation and old white lincoln. just kinda ripped through em, one after the other, no banter in between. they sounded amazing. they're such a good band, i can't even stand it

it's a cover of "here's looking at you kid". not sure who's performing it though. haha. but it sounds good!

Haha. It may or may not be me who's "performing" it :-p
