first off, if you dont listen to elliott smith, you are a douche and need to stop reading this sentence and buy every one of his albums.

those of you that do know him, FYI: today is October 21st, 2 years ago today Elliott Smith took his own life.

I didnt know he committed suicide when I first started listening to him, and when I did find out it was such a major disallusionment.

I really do like him.
He always reminds me of buckley, not just because of the singer/songwriter dealio, but he has the same sort of poetic lyrics and simple hooks that are reminiscent of Jeff.

I started listening to him in 2004. I wish I followed his music before then so I'd atleast have a chance to see him live.
