the dear hunter is fucking incredible. casey is most likely writing a book and releasing it with a triple disc type deal. and it's pushed back to like sept 06.

ok well before i explain, people were talking about the dear hunter because there was originally a note about them included in the news post.


ok so there used to be a guy a named ben in the receiving end of sirens. and casey had a band called the dear hunter. casey was not in treos.

then ben quit treos to do other bands and projects. and treos found casey. the dear hunter became casey's side project because he made treos his main focus. you can find them on purevolume (http://www.purevolume.com/thedearhunter) and myspace (http://www.myspace.com/tdh)

It's not your fault when you bare resemblance to someone else. I think you're just looking for excuses to hate on TREOS because in your heart you know they are incerdibly more successful now then they were when Ben was in the band. I saw them play live twice before Casey was added to the lineup when Ben was still around and although I did like them then as well, Casey just adds way more to the group than Ben could have ever dreamed of.

They're more succuessful now, but it didn't mean they wern't going to be just as with Ben. If he had stayed in the band and signed to Alantic or where ever then chances are they would've been just as big. I do like TREOS version 2.0 but personally I think Ben is a better song writer. If you look at most of his lyrics, they're really incredible. I love his style.

In most cases, everyone is always so one sided and either 100% for 1.0 or 100% for 2.0, but let's just leave it at the fact they are both equally amazing in their one ways.
