System Of A Down (http://www.systemofadown.com)- Hypnotize: Not the album yet, just the single. I've been playing it a ton recently and I love the dual-vocals of Serj and Daron, plus the muscianship in this song is superb. This single is definitely the beginning of what will be a great album. Hypnotize hits stores on November 22 and you can listen to the single at their website.
Days Like These (http://www.daysliketheseband.com)- Inventure: Just got this album the other day, and it rocks. Spacey and passionate, this is a release you'll need to own on November 1.
Explosions In The Sky (http://www.explosionsinthesky.com)- Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever: I know they have a new EP out, and that's good, but recently I've been digging this album again. Beautiful and breathtaking, EITS is one of the best instrumental bands ever. Also, if you liked the movie "Friday Night LIghts", then you'll like EITS, because they did the soundtrack music for that movie.
Jawbreaker- Dear You: Half of your favorite bands wouldn't exist today if it wasn't for this band. So, respect your elders, listen to Jawbreaker.
Also recommened: old school Adidas, play raquetball, and watch The Office on NBC.

Everyone's favorite forum member, Erich (mondeoman), drop his two cents this week. Here are his picks:
Braid- I'm talking more specifically the Frame and Canvas CD. It's poppy without hitting you over the head with it's poppiness.
The Promise Ring- Unlike Braid, this is poppy while hitting you over the head with it's poppiness. However it is brilliant. How? I don't know but it is.
Minutemen- Double Nickles on the Dime was released before even I was born but it's really good. Yeah it's punk rock and if you're like me you haven't listened to punk in 2 years. But trust me, you'll enjoy it and you don't even need to grow a mohawk again.
Sonic Blasts with Oreo- Sex in my mouth. But a tad pricey.
College Football- I'm sure some of you just don't like sports and that's fine. But for me, college football is fantastic. You have schools from all different parts of the country so you're very likely to see someone you know either in the stands or on the field. Plus it's so captivating. (Go Badgers! - Drew)
