Anyone know how much the pre-sale tickets are going for??

Bruised26
03/08/09, 02:11 PM
$50 for pit.
I'm sure lawn (or back of arena) is probably around $15.

My question about this tour is why is the support almost 3 times as good as the headlining act?

because if they were 3x as good as the headliner than they'd be headlining their own tour!

They do headline their own tours, JM is still gettin an hour set time...and JM is 3x better then The Fray

If you think The Fray is better than Jack's Mannequin, you're retarded.

You guys are fucking idiots... I never said I thought Jack's was any better or worse than The Fray. After all, that's subjective to each listener.

I know Jack's goes on their own headlining tours, I saw them with Fun, and if you kept up with Jacks News you would know that they decided to play with The Fray because they got a good timeslot and wanted to expand their audience. Andrew wrote a blog that directly addressed that...

I had tickets to their headlining tour, but it was cancelled/postponed/whatever. That was going to be my first time seeing JM. And now I have to watch them play with one of the most boring, generic bands of all time!? Sure the Fray is good to listen to when you are going to sleep, but during the day?? Their music is just so....bleh. I'll definitely be leaving after JM.

You still get a solid hour of Jack's which is better than no Jack's at all.

Very true. An hour is a decent time for them to play...

Exactly. Having JM open for them will make them look even worse. Bad Move on their part. But it will do JM a lot of good!

For my date it is $55.50 for pit and reserved seating, Lawn tickets are $15.

Both prices are PLUS ticket charges/fees. so probably around $65, $21

I was on The Fray's mailing list and it was supposed to be sent out on the Thursday before at 5pm. I never got it. I was in Pittsburgh (from Friday morning until Saturday at midnight) so I wasn't even near a computer to get the code. I relied on my friend who got the code the day of the presale, at the exact time of the presale. It's a randomly generated code. She gave my sister and I her code which we sent to our mom who was by a computer. It didn't work for her, only worked on my friend's computer. So they sent it out late, but you should have gotten it by now if you signed up The Fray's mailing list.

I would give you the code I got, but it's a random one. My friend's code didn't work on my mom's computer (and my friend didn't even buy tickets with it at the time when my mom tried) so I doubt my code would work on yours. My friend had to end up ordering the tickets because I couldn't get mine because I didn't have computer access. Really frustrating.

After charges, tickets were like $86.50 each in orchestra. They decided to add on a $6 parking fee for the PNC date, which confused me, since I've never had one before. And no, I did not get a premiere parking ticket.Got 12th row for the show. Going to be awesome.

Haha, I know what you mean. The latest album was garbage. However, I actually liked Every Second Counts a lot. I think I'm one of the few here that didn't think they sucked until their latest album, haha. And I like So Damn Clever, one of my favorites from that album.

Here's the Jack's Mannequin set list from 6/12 Atlanta:

Dark Blue
Holiday From Real
Crashin
Bloodshot
Swim
I'm Ready
Bruised
La La Lie
Hammers and Strings
The Mixed Tape
Spinning
American Girl (Tom Petty Cover)
The Resolution

They're all in order except the Resolution because apparently he forgot to play it where it was supposed to be hahah. I'm surprised he didn't do a She Paints Me Blue, SoCo cover because it was raining really hard in Atlanta, but apparently he talked about it.

And I just found out that The Fray played Happiness, How To Save A Life, Over My Head, You Found Me, Heaven Forbid, Enough for Now, Little House and Never Say Never but I didn't get the order or any others.

i would love to go see JM again but the tickets are kind of expensive since i dont even like the fray that much.

It pours rain in Atlanta and he still doesn't play She Paints Me Blue.

I'm kind of glad he didn't, because that would have made me so sad to miss. Being from around there I love that song even more.

The Fray: Happiness, Never Say Never, She Is, Over My Head (Cable Car), How To Save A Life

Finally home...man, it's significantly easier typing here than on my phone, haha. I'm devastated that Watch The Sky didn't make the actual set, but it was still a great, great show. VA Beach's set list was only slightly different from Atlanta's:

Dark Blue
Holiday From Real
Crashin'
Bloodshot
Swim
I'm Ready
Bruised
La La Lie
Hammers and Strings
The Mixed Tape
Spinning
The Resolution
American Girl

I tried to find the band afterwards, but no dice. While I was waiting, I killed some time by taking pictures of the merch:

http://i44.tinypic.com/xckduq.jpg
http://i39.tinypic.com/vg3mkn.jpg

lol @ the booty shorts. Shirts are $25 and the hoodie costs $50. The merch was crazy expensive, but I think to make up for it, they gave everyone who bought a shirt/hoodie a free download card for The Glass Passenger along with a deluxe photo book. So kick ass! Aaand here's a picture of those:

I wasn't at the show, but I found the setlist for The Fray.

Virginia Beach - June 14, 2009
The Fray
01.(Intro - Happiness)
02.Over My Head (Cable Car)
03.Absolute
04.She Is
05.Say When
06.How To Save a Life
07.Ungodly Hour
08.Vienna
09.Enough For Now
10.Syndicate
11.Little House
12.We Build Then We Break
13.Never Say Never
14.You Found Me
---Encore Break---
15.Heartless (Kanye West cover)
16.Look After You
17.All At Once
18.(Outro - Happiness)

Loving that set list.

Has anyone had any luck meeting any of the band so far?

I don't know if you're referring to The Fray or Jack's, but I met The Fray on their tour with OK Go and Mae... I think it was 2 years ago if I remember the date correctly. I don't know if they did it at every date, but at my date they had some game inside the venue where you dropped a disc into a case thing with pegs and if it landed in a certain slot then you won a meet and greet with the band. I ended up winning the last wristband so I got to meet them inbetween Mae and OK Go's set. Nice guys. I don't know how yours is going to be set up, but if it's like at PNC in Holmdel, check out the tents/tables around the area and see if they have anything. And check the merch areas as well, because maybe they have scheduled meet and greets regularly. I was not expecting to meet The Fray when I went to that show, at all.

This is why Something Corporate needs to reunite.

Agreed.

Yep. My friend flipped out.

I didn't write down the Fray setlist, but it's basically the same as what was already posted, but for the encore, Joe performed Heaven Forbid by himself, acoustic. Then they went into the Heartless cover, All at Once, and then finished with Happiness. I don't remember hearing Vienna or Look After You.

Yess we did! My friend and I were waiting by benches near where the artists go and some girls were screaming at the tour buses to get Andrew to come out. Some guy told us he'd try to get him so we went and stood with them over by where he would come from, and we waited for a while (through a lot of the Fray's set). But he finally came out and signed things (my phone) and took pictures! It wasn't for too long but he did come for a little :-)

My favourite thing about Jack's shows is getting there early and making friends in line so that's pretty much the main reason I'm leaving so early. In an interview somewhere he said it's just too long of a song to play every night when it's not even a Jack's Mannequin song.

I am going to be extremely upset if I don't get WTS. I've seen KTM live and it was honestly one of the less memorable live songs (literally though... I'd forgotten I had seen it last year until a few days ago). I still love it, but I'd much rather get WTS.

LOL I WAS WITH YOU. I had the flowery blue/white top and pink sunglasses.

so i went to the show last night in camden nj. I got there as soon as richard swift was going on and went to get food because he bored me. Then came back for Jacks. (I really just went for them) ANdrew was amazing, full of energy as always. I has seats in the first level. Me and my friend seemed to be the only people standing during him, literally the only people. The people in back of us told us to sit down. When we didnt, I was named douchebag of the year by the douchebag sitting behind me. Its a concert, seriously, stand the fuck up. JM didnt play Holiday from real! wow i was shocked, but we got Watch the sky which was cool. Then the fray. They were really really really good live, seriously. I didnt expect it. They changed up there set a little bit by opening the encore with heaven forbid. Overall, it was a really great show, other than 2 hour ferry line i waited in after the show that was full of cops and fights!

that sucks that no one else in the pit was into them. did those same people yelling at you stand for The Fray? i hate when people get pissed because you want to stand for the opener, but then everyone stands for the headliner :-/

the fray is actually a pretty legit band. just because they're not in this scene doesn't mean people have to give them shit.This. The Fray are actually an incredible band. Fantastic musicians. They are easily better than Jack's Mannequin, although it's no big surprise that most kids on this site would not agree. I like plenty of Jack's Mannequin's songs more. But I'm smart enough to understand that just because I like a song more doesn't mean other songs aren't actually better.

Trust me when I say that this is something I understand too. There are plenty of bands that I like while understanding their music isn't good but it's catchy, or bands that I like more than another while understanding that the other band makes better music. However, I disagree with what you said for quite a few reasons. That being said, I do enjoy The Fray a lot too.

I dont necessarily think that The Fray are better musicians. Obviously I am a way bigger Jack's fan, although The Fray are definitely enjoyable, but I still feel that Jack's are more diverse, and have a lot more energy as far as live performances go. Although Isaac is, without a doubt, a stronger vocalist than Andrew.

even though i was kind of expecting watch the sky, i nearly cried anyway.
i have some pretty good pictures of andrew from the first half of the set, then my camera nearly died.
i pretty much left right after JM and bought merch.
i got the Swim bracelet, booty shorts, and one of the tees.
it was pretty freaking amazing.
how much was the swim bracelet? and is it just one of those rubber bracelets that says swim?

I think The Fray is a really good band. They have great vocals, great instrumentals, and their lyrics are nice too. The thing is with The Fray I don't see much diversity. Hearing one or two of their songs randomly is always nice but I can't listen to their CDs without getting bored. It's good music, it really is, but it can get boring.
That being said, I happen to freaking adore Andrew McMahon, so I could be a bit biased.

"Watch The Sky" was played tonight...I don't remember hearing, "Holiday From Real" though, I could just be forgetting it though. Set was the same as the previous ones with that exception.

The Fray threw in a cover of "A Long December" by the Counting Crows. Enjoyed their set, but I did get a little bored at times. I liked their lights/stage set up though. haha

Overall though, Jack's Mannequin was on the top of my list, and I had to buy the what get's you off shorts...too funny. haha

Me either. I've been looking forward to this since the last batrch of dates on the Farther From Earth tour were cancelled. Are you in in the Cleveland area? If so, I heard a rumor that Andrew is singing the national anthem at the Indians game tonight. I can't verify it with a real source other than what a friend heard on the radio, haha.

Haha, I heard that too, except I heard that he'd be singing Take Me Out To The Ballgame during the seventh inning stretch. I do live in the Cleveland area and on a whim I decided to go. The game was cancelled because of the rain right before the seventh inning stretch. But apparently, the person who said they were playing tonight was wrong. We asked someone who worked there and she said that they were "rumored" to play tomorrow, which would also make sense because tomorrow is Leukemia and Lymphoma day at Progressive Field. I just don't understand how he could manage it when he's got the show to play... but it is in walking distance of the venue, so maybe he's running over quickly? I don't really know.

Edit: I was just looking at my ticket and it says "This is a Rain or Shine Event" so I think we'll be safe from cancellation. I'm just hoping that it's not raining so he doesn't play KTM in place of WTS like he did in Boston.

The weather is going to be absolute shit for the show. 50% chance of rain all day and it's going to be 63-68 degress. They will not stop the show due to rain and I know that for a fact because I've been to many shows there where it has rained, the latest being The Killers in May. I hope the rain holds out for the most part because I have been looking forward to this show for a while now.
